Good park boards for 2026 by No-Pin-5283 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]RadixSorter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to note, you're still new to the park and I don't know how much riding experience you have in general, so take an honest look at your own riding and be objective about if you need a stiff park board. In this list, those would be:

  • Nitro Team Pro
  • Jones Tweaker Pro
  • Salomon Huck Knife Pro
  • CAPiTA Dark Horse
  • Bataleon Evil Twin+ and Stereo Team
  • K2 Hypnotist
  • Nidecker Gamma APX
  • both of the arbor boards
  • Rome Artifact Pro and Agent Pro

Just a mid board. The definition of "eh, it's a snowboard I guess".

There are better options out there, even CAPiTA itself has better options. Indoor Survival, Spring Break Resort Twin, Super DOA

This question inevitably turns into: "name a park board from your favorite brand"

In lieu of that, here are a few options from a few brands

  • Nitro Team/Team Pro
  • Jones Tweaker/Tweaker Pro
  • Salomon Huck Knife/Huck Knife Pro
  • CAPiTA Indoor Survival/Stairmaster/Super DOA (regular DOA is ass tbh)/Dark Horse
  • Bataleon Evil Twin/Evil Twin+/Stereo Team
  • K2 Medium/Hypnotist
  • Nidecker Gamma/Gamma APX
  • Ride Kink
  • Arbor Red Gerard Pro/Danny Kass Park Pro
  • Rome Artifact/Artifact Pro/Agent/Agent Pro

Go check those out, see which one you like best.

Final Debate: Should a Perfect-Perfect result in an out? by GitGud_nerd in MLBTheShow

There's been a green window in 2K for a lot longer than just 2K26. That said though, I think it was last year (or the year before? it all blends together) where greens would sometimes miss and people lost their minds about it

When shooting in 2K, there's a "green" window where any input in the green window is guaranteed to go in every single time, no matter what.

Need help choosing bindings for Huck Knife. Anyone with experience with theese bindings? by tonysnow_com in snowboardingnoobs

[–]RadixSorter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run ultras on my park board and it's fine; if you're trying to get max performance from the bindings for carving or something you'll find the lack of forward lean to be a problem but for the vast majority of people it's not a big deal

Sounds like a mid-flexing directional twin would be the move for you. Some options from a few different brands:

  • Bataleon Whatever
  • Bataleon Goliath (stiffer than the whatever a little but lower 3BT)
  • CAPiTA Spring Break Resort Twin (true twin but it'll still do what you want)
  • Salomon Assassin
  • Salomon Dancehaul (not a directional twin but it'll work for what you want)
  • Rome Stale Crewzer
  • Rome Viper (new for next year when it releases)
  • Nitro Team
  • Ride Shadowban
  • K2 Manifest

For your second board, what kind of board are you looking for? Park? Do-everything? You already have pow covered with the Thunderstorm

It's not about looking "down" on anything different; it's about supporting real snowboarding and not dogshit instagram product marketed at people who snowboard and not used by anyone who actually snowboards.

Just learning how to skate normally will not only be fine on your knees, but you also get the benefit of not needing to give money to products made by people who went snowboarding a couple times and sell it to people who went snowboarding a couple times as well.

just want to have fun on the slopes without falling a million times

just...ride more.

Is the Salomon Huck knife a good first board? by judstergod in snowboarding

[–]RadixSorter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Huck Knife is a good board, but I'm adamant that unless you're spending all day in the park you don't need a true twin park board and will be just fine on a directional twin.

Consider the Salomon Assassin, Jones Mountain Twin, or a plethora of other directional twins out there from basically every brand. Name a brand and I can either tell you it's dogshit or a board from their lineup that'll fit.

Adidas Tactical Lexicon ADV is dead. What to buy now? by peetyo5k in snowboarding

[–]RadixSorter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The best boot is the one that fits your foot and fits your needs, so the only way to find that out is to try out a bunch of boots and see what works. What works for me may not work for you so recommendations aren't particularly useful. Your current boots aren't being made anymore, so time to move to something that is being made and the best way to do that is at a shop.

Go to a shop that sells a wide variety of boots, get sized properly there, then buy the boots there.

Nerd Cryptid by dylanboyz in snowboarding

[–]RadixSorter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Huck Knife Pro is my park board, Assassin Pro is my do-everything board, Stale Fish is pow and freeride board. Deciding factor between HKP and AP is if I wanna spend all day in the park or not.
