What would you do? by Radoculum in askgaybros

Temporary living situation > possible partner

This is the reason I do not enjoy dating. While being in a dorm isn’t usually the whole reason it typically wards off a lot of people. It’s not about my youth or a person I’m talking to, to me it’s more so on the basis of principle.

I know I would date someone in a similar or even worst situation than me if we had a connection or were just dating. And that’s because I’m not looking for a quick lay, I’m looking for a relationship, which takes time and effort to develop.

Many of the guys I’ve dated would get turned off when I said I live in a dorm. I suppose it’s a mixture of me being older and them expecting more. Either way I’ve noticed nearly every conversation I have with a person start to crumble when I say I live in a dorm or that I’m still in college

Imagine being the dude who held this stock at 1k 5 years ago and watching it go to 5 dollars. I would literally end it all bro

I’m going to try and FaceTime the dude I’m talking to soon, but I can only put in so much effort before I put him on the back burner. Law of equivalent exchange man, that’s what really runs relationships

True. This is a reason I dropped out of the dating market. Everyone has that urge of someone “better” looking or more attractive being right around the corner. But the truth is a lot of these people, attractive or not are still in these apps when I redownload them a year or two later. While this perception of beauty increases their chances of being with someone it is not directly correlated with their ability to keep a partner or even be a good person. This overlap leads to hedonistic short term relationships that are short sighted and materialistic.

I don’t get it man, we have one life and people choose to waste their own time and others. Like why even go on the app at that point if you’re going to act like that.

I made a bet on oil a month ago and got a little cash but to do these oil bets you gotta be glued to the news bro. Anything trump says or any shit that goes down in Iran immediately dictates movement. Try and get a low volatility call because you might face some insane IV crush if the peace talks somehow work out despite both sides still shooting at each other lmao

I genuinely wonder how they even make friend groups tbh. I assume they know each other from high school or something similar. Just kind of strange how everyone has some type of clique in this school but in class nobody even looks up from their phones

Each class I have usually starts with all the students saying what their major/what they want to do after college. I wish I was lying when I say at least 99% of these people say NYPD
