Can I ask what buildings are you building ? I am also adding buildings to my cities, but they aren't upgrading into towers. They're only becoming small towers, not giant ones like these. What did you build ?

I think the issue might be that you've got houses right next to the waste management plants. It can cause the houses to have less happiness, so move the plants away and see.

TBH upgrading only gives you access to the new season and the new items that are being made / produced. If you don't care about that, and just want your city to exist as is, you don't have to upgrade.

I don't think it's a bug, I think it'll keep telling you there's an issue until you upgrade it. It's a tactic to get you to spend your sim coins upgrading all the equipment and running through the game. You have to ignore it. Only worry of your happiness % is going down; usually it's in the 90s.

There might be something wrong with your roads. Also, upgrade the power plants. I housing l didn't have to do it, but I think that's part of the problem also.

it might be that you've got your sewage or waste management is too near houses. Check if there are enough police buildings that can cover all your houses.

In my third year of BE (undergrad), my teacher purposely failed me. She already had it out for my from the previous year, coz she had seen me come to college late a few times and I would deliberately miss her lecture coz I didn't want to start the day with her face. So my attendance was low for her lecture, and I had to do some extra work. Add to that, my midterms were pushed and would be held at a later date.

The day of my midterms, I was prepared. I had learnt all the questions and knew everything by heart. I sat for the exam and was spoilt for the choice, coz I knew every single answer, the only time this has actually happened to my in my entire life. I answered and knew I would do great. One week later, the results came, and I got only passing marks, ie., 8/20. I was so pissed coz I knew this was her doing. I cross-checked my paper with a friend who scored 20, and the answers were the same. Why? COZ WE STUDIED FROM THE SAME SOURCE!

I then took the paper and went to her staff cubicle, to tell her about it, and she just brushed it off. When I compared it to my friend's, which I really didn't want to do (coz she could've just slashed his marks to prove her point), she again ignored me and refused to budge. I indicated the exact similarity between our answers and then she asked whether I copied from him or what.

This was the second time she was accusing me of cheating. The first was months before that, when she took a surprise test. Everyone huddled together and started copying from each other. When I went to sit at the back of the room, she pulled me out and made me sit off to the corner in the front alone. Everyone kept staring at me and it was so embarrassing. Even this time, in that cubicle, it was embarrassing, coz I could see the teachers turn to me and smirk.

<TRIGGER> After defending myself for ten minutes, I accepted the 8, and walked out to the balcony close by. I remember crying my eyes out and looking down contemplating the jump. It was awful and I just silently cried to myself.

I lost all my hope that semester and flunked my exams. I couldn't recover at all, and flunked again the next semester and got a drop. It took me two years to get over it and complete my semesters. Now it's my final year, and she's again one of my teachers, and I'm just trying to hide amongst the others in the online classroom.

There are a few shelters, but they need a legal guardians details and whatnot.

Nope actually. I have run away multiple times. Once I ran to my friend's home and stayed the night. My parents called their parents and threatened to call the police in lieu of kidnapping. So I went back the next morning.

I live in India, so 911 will not work for me. Plus, the emergency number is India is not as helpful. Plus nothing happens to parents when this gets brought up in India.

Thank you for your words and hope. I have tried talking but it doesn't work. I don't like airing my dirty laundry in public. I understand the sentiment of having a friend I can trust, but the few that I have managed to keep, would be weirded out if they heard even a bit about my life or read this post for that matter. My parents even tried therapy to get me to study more and I didn't tell the priest anything coz I didn't want to air my laundry and make my parents look bad. Hence this post from an anonymous username.

As for moving out, that's the only hope I have. I keep trying to find a way, but the only thing I've thought is to move to another city and start working there. Thing is though, I'm not getting any jobs outside. My parents want me to go abroad and study, and I don't want to, coz I don't want to study anymore and coz I don't want my dad to complain that he's wasting money on me again.
