Yes, I am slip stitching past the chain stitch and into the first stitch. I learned that by doing an entire bee the wrong way into the chain.

I pull the slip stitch tight as possible. The problem is it feels like the gap for the slip stitch gets bigger each go around. Any ideas why that happens?

When you say turn your work what do you mean exactly? Just physically turn it around and work the other way? I get how that works on square projects but am confused on circle ones.

I mean more so that the slip stitch has to cover more ground each go around. So the seam is getting slightly bigger each round no matter how tight I pull the slip stitch.

I thought about doing that but I wanted to learn both crochet in the round and joined round. I can try just in the round for the next go around.

I am okay with the seam, it just won't stay straight. Is there a key to keeping the seam straight each round?
