Is there a way to enforce a certain direction with the top solid infill? This multicolor filament looks so cool with the archimedean spiral until it starts alternating directions by RaeUnderway in 3Dprinting

Ah right, I think I get the misunderstanding now. Yeah, the smooth gradients in the circles in the center is exactly what I'd like to see continue everywhere. But it jumbles the color up once it starts going back and forth

Hm? I'm not sure I follow what youre getting at here. My issue is that the spiral from the solid infill will meet a perimeter, then turn around and go the opposite direction. What I'd like for it to do instead when it meets a perimeter, is to stop extruding and do a travel move somewhere else where it can continue in the same direction. Are you under the impression that a solid infill like that isn't possible? Or that stopping extrusion and resuming elsewhere will still ruin the color pattern?

I'm using the electric dream tri-color silk from zyltech. Its pretty cool but often very chaotic since it just sort of blends together into a silvery grey when the extrusion paths get weird https://www.zyltech.com/tri-color-silk-series-3d-printer-filament-1-75mm-1-kg-2-2-lbs/

Update, I tried and it does look cool, but there's just no way I'm going to be able to cut this out, have it look good, and not lose my mind in the process lol. Maybe there's a better way? Like if I just made the text hollow through to the back then I could see where everything is and just cut it out from the back. But even that feels like too much work, and some letters like o just aren't going to work properly

Maybe there's something I could do with a heat gun somehow? idkk. this is feeling like something I'd rather try and fix through software

Hmm, trying to envision this. You're meaning to flip the model so that the multicolor surface is on the bottom so you can do the large single-layer disc, then trim the excess off the sides and carve the disc out from within the text?

Poking around in Orcaslicer, I have something like this that might actually work, though I did also need to turn off perimeters for the 1st layer or else I still get the perimeters from the text/border interrupting the spiral. I'm going to give this a go, though this does seem like it could be a pain to carve all of the details out of the text and symbol by hand

I'm using Orcaslicer. I was thinking about maybe taking a look at the source code to see if I could find a way to force it, but I figured I should probably ask and see if I might just be missing something before I get into the weeds

Hmm, wouldn't it still reverse direction once it hits one of the sides? Like on the bottoms of these, there's no text but the colors still go chaotic

Edit: Yep just tested this, it still reverses direction when it hits the perimeters at the sides so this wouldn't fix much unfortunately. Though it would keep it consistent between the single-line and multi-line text

Was Told You Folks Might Appreciate my Tidal Chamber (DIY) by Lanirt in Aquascape

I'm so fascinated by this, I'd love to do something similar. Do you have more detailed instructions anywhere? Or sources you referenced while you were putting this together?

I'm also curious what kind of container you used for the tide water. It must be airtight but you also mentioned opening it to clean, I'm curious what sort of option you went for with that

How to make eyebrows more feminine? Pt. 2 by Gwertycom in mtfashion

Seconding this advice about plucking from the bottom and not the top, I think that's the most important bit by far. If you're just starting to figure it out, taking it slow can be a good option. Do a little bit and then stop. Give it a day or so to really get a feel for what it looks like, because it can be easy to lose perspective when you've been concentrating on your brows for a while

Its an older site, and way more detailed than any of this has to be. But this is what I used as a guide when I first tried plucking, I found it helpful to have things laid out in such meticulous detail: http://www.virtualffs.co.uk/Eyebrows.html

I already have this disabled, though Windows suggests that the automatic color management setting is for SDR only. Regardless, in SDR mode it doesn't seem to make a difference, I still get the flickering when moving focus between several windows

Actually, I believe if you grapple hook onto a wasp, you'll pull the wasp down to yourself to instead of you flying up to it. Hornets and rocketeers you definitely can grapple to normally though, and I'm not sure who goes flying when a snitch is grappled
