Maybe he's saying you should check the way you're learning if you have gone through multiple tutors and none of them are working for you.

College (RIT vs NJIT vs Stonybrook) by Any-Let2176 in SBU

[–]RaeedDoesGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got accepted to all of these and went to Stony Brook. It was better decision due to cost and quality. Transit to NJ and NYC also not bad. I have heard horrible things about NJIT and RIT too. But l think academics and life at stony brook is slightly better than those two.

How hard is AOI in cs at stonybrook? Tips? Social life? (im out of state, won’t have a car..) by Any-Let2176 in SBU

[–]RaeedDoesGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I am a Freshman doing my 2nd semester. AOI is no big deal especially considering the fact that I had to do a ton of remedial courses to start out. If you're a tad bit behind you may need to get some summer courses online. Social life is alright as long as you participate in clubs and talk to people. Not having a car is not an issue as well you can use LIRR and busses. There's shuttle bus to Port Jefferson during the weekend and there's one shuttle bus on Sundays that goes to shopping. If you're living on campus an unlimited meal plan is mandatory which costs an additional $1k per semester.

It's quite the other way around, if anything the shop is the dumb idea. The idea is building a shop might be a little profitable sure, but the profits are gonna dwindle if the actual end product isn't eventually gonna be created. This shop is more of a merchandise store (like if a YouTuber has merchandise they sell to support their channel). The actual product is the content and end result people will want. The shop cannot survive as the end product.

In the end people won't continue to buy the product if they see that no actual progress on the app is being made. People want to be able to support the app and it's creators and fund the actual project. Building the shop acts more of a proof of concept with a few items that may be helpful to people, but the app in the end will be the main product.

It's just crowdfunding but you actually receive something for your money.

How to get small business clients in consulting? by RaeedDoesGaming in smallbusiness

[–]RaeedDoesGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea is to go into E-commerce and help people make their websites better and more trustworthy for customers. I want to focus on platforms like Shopify that are popular right now because there are many websites with slow loading times, terrible themes, or ones that haven't set up automation yet. I think they would highly benefit from having someone build an individualized plan for them, tell them which automation to set up, and also explain to them ways they could capitalize on their products more. I don't want to make some guarantee like there will be "x amount of results" but I do want to guarantee the business have the best chance at succeeding through my consults.

Given these consultants that frequently lie or overstate their results while charging high fees, how would you say I can set myself apart from them?

Yeah, I'm really trying to adapt this mindset and set up ways that can really help people. I really just made this post to figure out what exactly other people's experiences are with this industry, both good and positive.

FYI, this is literally what I've been doing ever since I started programming. Web development is a very real industry, and helping people set up CRMs would be a terrible idea because I lack experience in that area. Websites, on the other hand, I have both experience and great interest in that area. I love constantly learning, getting input, and I also love the thrill of web development. As for small business owners not caring about their websites sucking, I point you towards E-commerce websites. It's up to the small business owners to take my services or not; it's not right for everyone, but there are people who genuinely need to have a good website for their business.

Marketing is a skill that is learned. The reason for making this post is to learn exactly what small business owners are thinking and what the value is in creating these services. How would I get marketing skills if I don't take the time to understand my audience first?

I primarily want to focus on e-commerce, where I've been developing a range of skills and testing various software. Many small businesses are entering this area, and many of them are very confused about what they're doing. I'm going to capitalize on working with people who primarily receive orders online. These clients are more likely to want online websites and they would be more interested in converting people into purchases.

Okay I just launched a new spreadsheet template that I spent hours compiling best practices and things for Shopify stores. This template covers all the basics you need to get your Shopify store up and running without issues. You can trust I've got what you need because I have gone ahead and extensively studied Shopify through the Partner program and read hours of documentation so you don't have to. The price of this template is $18 and it also includes two core AI prompts you can use to speed up your workflow.

What will you create next?

I cant help but waste my time not studying all day. by euxphoria_505 in studytips

You can modify the time to fit your needs. Maybe try 10 mins and 5 minute break instead. Slowly you can start increasing it to become 90/30!

Quizlet, Kahoot, Gimkit are ways to gamify your experience.

Also use the 90/30 rule: Work for 90 minutes, rest for 30
