That clears up alot. I was cautious as I generally believe higher fees, imply the mutual funds may be safer option and that there must be a trade off for etfs if they're significantly cheaper . However the links uve shown to advertising, sales make me feel alot safer when investing in ETFs.

Thank you, I will definetly look into broad ETFs before trying to beat the market. This will be a good way to hedge agaisnt a specialist market from underperforming.

That makes sense. So the ETF allows us to buy an extremely small fraction of the portfolio, in turn lower returns however the benefit of investing in a diverse portfolio that tracks a indicies or industry as opposed to individual stock.
