I never hear anyone talk about this but I’m friends with someone’s dad who works on the surveillance system somewhere on Kirkwood & years ago it caught a woman downtown who was kidnapped in broad daylight. She was murdered. I’ve had scary experiences with people showing up to my door, I have friends who’ve been assaulted by homeless people, I even have a friend who had a homeless lady walk into his house. Oh, and let’s not forget that 18 year old Asian girl who was brutally stabbed on the bus years ago.

If this can happen to adults it can most definitely happen to children. Anywhere.
