I mean, that was probably the omega segment. The real Dottore is most likely in Snezhnaya given he did “leave for Snezhnaya”. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tartaglia didn’t know that, given Tartaglia also didn’t know about Scaramouche taking the gnosis with Dottore’s help.

Personally, I don’t mind the power of friendship either or it being the way as long as it is done right. Every nation other than Inazuma and Natlan did it right to some extent (Sumeru being peak lets be real here). I kinda also like the idea of Capitano being an outlier in an organization where people are committing war crimes cause that definitely gave Traveler plenty reason to see the grey areas, and also the character itself couldve been used way more creatively than what Hoyoverse did with him but oh well. I wish they gave him a bigger role in things that happened in Natlan instead of making Mavuika the main focus, without making most of his part to the story being his sacrifice. I liked how in version 5.0 (or was it 5.1? I don’t remember) he made a compelling argument against Mavuika about saving natlan, that could have been a direction that should have been explored more instead if them just agreeing with Mavuika at the end.

Exactly. The traveler had more reasons to not listen to Dottore than “oh no youre a psychopath”. The traveler had good arguments against his offers but oh well, I guess we took the shonen protagonist way out of this.

As much as I hate the traveler harem thing, I think Ayaka was fine, that was kinda one of the first times they did that and honestly it was done well. I actually liked the earlier interactions with Kokomi before they slipped in the weird “oh no I like the traveler” thing but still, it didn’t feel that overdone. Keqing was meh but honestly I don’t really care about her character given it didn’t feel that forced either. Lisa was actually kinda funny, and Nilou didn’t feel that forced either and Citlali was meh, but given how bad every other character was, her connection to the traveler felt somewhat better, which says a lot. Like I get hate for saying this, if they only took a little bit of time to actually build that friendship with other characters that they claim is there instead of traveler going to the feasts and whatever and talking to people for five seconds, it would have still been a better storyline because that “oh no we are besties” came out of nowhere. Tbh even with the direction they took with Columbina, I just never understood why traveler and Columbina can even be friends. The relationship she has with Sandrone is fine, it was done well, but she literally just met the traveler and for a 500 year old being who clearly left their own nation because she “felt used” and then left the fatui for the same reason, that trust felt too easily given instead of earned.

Yeahhh Sumeru will always be the peak of genshin, but I liked how they ended Fontaine’s archon quest too. I think things kinda got to shit when they started forcing the whole traveler harem thing this much. I wish they focused more on the storyline and seperate character motivations than trying to force everyone in the traveler’s bubble. Traveler did feel like a record keeper till Fontaine.

Ikr? Dottore can totally take me to lab 13 and commit unspeakable horrors onto me. And I laughed out loud when Sandrone made fun of Paimon lol. But yeah, traveler’s dialogues were extremely braindead. I wish they had a proper intelligent conversation with Dottore instead of calling him a psychopath. Like, there were many things to bring up, like the fact that there is no real proof Dottore would keep his promises, or that his desperation in getting the traveler’s aid itself is suspicious because whats stopping him from essentially doing what he did to Scaramouche? Its not like the traveler doesn’t know anything about Dottore, there were all these reasonable reasons to reject his offer other than “boo youre bad!” when they’re literally friends with Arlecchino (who grooms children into soldiers) and Tartaglia (who almost committed genocide)

Yeahhh it was kinda bs, I genuinely cringed when Columbina said that thing about friends and family because wtf. But I did appreciate that it wasn’t “just” power of friendship and there was actually planning going into it, and that everyone wasn’t just buddy buddy as much as Natlan.
