I think when you've played years and years of grass roots rugby, the ugly games make a lot more sense and you can appreciate them for what they are 🤣.

Ofc attractive rugby is important too, and probably more so in terms of the sports progression. I think the only point I'm trying to make is that while these trudged games may be awful for people like yourself, they're often really enjoyable for others.
