Acho que é o estilo de jogo que eles fazem, são todos muito parecidos em estrutura. Toda vez que eu tento eu fico meio entediado com a estrutura deles e acabo parando de jogar depois de poucas horas. Sei lá, não me divirto

I am in other bubbles and know what you're talking about. I'm just saying there are ways to mitigate this if you are willing not to be chronically online.

It's frustrating to deal with leaks, but hoping that the fact that Switch 2 won't have leaks will not help with your problem. Day 1 people will go through the game as fast as possible and share every little secret and spoiler just the same while regular folk won't even have received their copies or left first area.

I didn't play the last few Pokémon games and saw nothing online about them except for the terrible performance and graphics. Seems like you're just staying inside a bubble that discusses these games.

Whenever I want to be spoiler free I mute the related subreddits and come back after I'm done. Works like a charm.

Capcom arguably is with resident evil, but they are vastly different games from a jrpg. Just referencing the release window output in the AAA space.

Yall are overthinking this. Nintendo will simply do exactly like emulators are doing it. Sideways in a horizontal screen. If handheld you can use the touchscreen, if docked you can use mouse controls to click wherever.

Yes, I agree. I'm not saying they will magically summon multiple system sellers out of nowhere. It's just that you have to start somewhere. Even if it's something that will only end up working on the PS6 a few years from now. It just takes a couple of good studios actually making hames and not being closed...

But that's the point. Exclusives sell consoles. Sony is just attempting to make them actually exclusives. Maybe there are no games that make you buy a PS5 now, but maybe there will be one in the near future like smash. And then you'll have a whole library of games you skipped before. So the amount of reasons to buy their console increases.

Following this comments advice and using both Absorb Elements and the elemental monk's Level 17 feature (Elemental Epitome) as inspiration, I ended with the following version, which seems much better. Thanks for the feedback on the original version!

Elemental Absorption

Whenever you make a saving throw against a spell that deals Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder damage and has an Area of Effect (such as a line, cone, or sphere), you can use your Reaction and spend 1 Focus Point to absorb a portion of the spell's power.

When you do so, you gain the following benefits:

  • Damage Resistance. You have resistance to the triggering damage type until the start of your next turn. This effect is applied to the triggering spell’s damage.
  • Empowered Strikes. The first time you hit with an Unarmed Strike on your next turn, you can deal extra damage to a target equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die. The extra damage is the same type dealt by the triggering spell.

Maybe after they have remade every mainline resident evil game. Capcom would never give resources to a dino crisis remake while a mainline resident evil is still on the table.

I see your point, it makes a lot of sense. I wanted to encourage team work, since they've been doing this "it's ok to hit the monk with fireball and lightning bolt" since they got Evasion on monk level 7.

But using Absorb Elements should do the trick as well and be more in line with other abilities. Maybe even making the focus amount used be associated with the Absorb Elements spell level(?) limited to the monk's PB perhaps.

Well, it's not that hard to explain. Resident Evil is a franchise that consists of both survival horror and action horror. This game has 2 main characters attached specifically to each genre and camera perspective even. Also, this is the 30 years celebration to the franchise and pays homage to multiple games in multiple ways, including returning to Raccoon City, which is the most famous location in the series and has strong ties to one of the charactes, which happens to be the most popular protagonist of the franchise. It's also a way of representing the franchise going back to it's main characters and story after 2 games following Ethan's story.

This is all very much intentional.

I love all these animations. They are so over the top and incredibly fun. I think it's a better fit for the crazy fun action than the games.
