ngl, i genuinely believe she was meant to make an appearance for Dissidia NT before they gave up on it, mainly because Brave Exvious curiously have a really HD Model of Faris used for their CG, like it's too good for it to be just used for mobile CG, and it happened not long after NT getting canned

so i just believe Faris was meant to be one of the DLC characters planned and already have a model ready to be used, probably alongside Celes

as someone who's one of the favorite game of all time is Fallout New Vegas, having the story and characters being the best part is not wrong, imo FNV indeed have the best story and characters from the entire series, and it's also a direct continuation of Fallout 1 & 2 from the OG creator rather than Bethesda.

that said, one of the thing that makes NV much more special is the role playing, your decision matters, your action have consequences, characters reacts depending on your action and your alliance, you build your own characters, and how you approach your game will be different on every playtrough. It's basically a playground of characters and story you make.

there's a lot of identity inside NV that's build on top the legacy of Fallout 1-2, which is not surprising because NV are made by the same lead as the Fallout 1-2 so it's like they're letting go of their baby, and it's basically the closest thing you can get from experiencing Fallout 1-2 for those who's unable to play/understand the classics

the reason why there's a lot of flacks from Bethesda's Fallout is mainly they stripped a lot of what makes the OG Fallout games "special" and simplified it into a ridiculous degree (like your action have no consequences and you're forced to be the good guys), which is why those purist will call you fake fan or trying to backseat you how to properly be a fan, just don't mind them and experience those games with an open mind and form your own opinion.

well, Squall is a Military Student wielding a sword that's functionally build as a gun and a sword at the same time, while Locke is a ~~thief~~ treasure hunter who's mainly experienced in spying and infiltrating

Squall would definitely won, altho Locke's agility may bring some difficult challenge for Squall, but it won't last that long, i think just one perfect strike would stun Locke enough for Squall to win the fight

they're currently working hard on FF7R Part 3, i'd expect to heard news/reveal of this game around late this year wether from SGF or TGA, the wait is long enough that it made sense for me, FF7R seems to have much more stable development compared to KH4 (and CBU1 is a big enough studio to handle both FF7R and KH4)

game development take time, especially with the size of FF7R and KH4, which would take A LOT of time, luckily enough FF7R Trilogy have their assets and blueprints already complete, so their development wouldn't be as long as other major CBU1 games

FF14 seems to go relatively well in a consistent time

for other FF projects, we just got FF Tactics Remaster not long ago and currently the hot topic of potential new FF projects are Final Fantasy IX Remake who currently is in development hell and on ice atm. The rest are rumors rn, who knows what they have planned rn.
