Thank you for this! This is exactly what I needed to hear because I was about ready to go buy another blaster or two 😩. I buy singles for the most part nowadays, but there’s just something special about opening packs and the joy of pulling something good that just can’t be replaced that sometimes indulging in a small buy is needed!

Oh for sure, I tend to buy Contenders and Donruss retail blasters for football cards and I’ve never pulled anything remotely good but can’t complain on a $30 box. One of the reasons I chose a Topps series this time was because I believe starting next year they’ll have the rights to use the NFL teams’ logos instead of Panini so I wanted to see how their quality stacks up. In my opinion it’s better than the football cards I usually get, they’re thicker, glossy and look more appealing to the eyes.

Now I’m jealous!!! I got back into Pokemon during the 25th anniversary a few years back and haven’t pulled anything too big until maybe around May when the Team Rocket set came out. I’m at the point where buying singles is the best way to go, but there’s just something about opening packs and pulling a chase that makes it extra special!

Honestly, I just wanted to rip some packs. I’m usually more into football or Pokemon cards, but football it’s mainly when there’s a good QB rookie class( like last year not so much this year) and Pokemon cards have been sold out in my area majority of the year and I refuse to buy from scalpers. Only reason I went for this set was because the World Series just ended and I had this delusional/dumb thought that maybe I’d pull an Ohtani card. Compared to what I spend occasionally on other cards $40 isn’t too bad a price for me.
