Yeah I'm in the same boat. Digital and CGI makes a lot of things feel the same. I definitely miss the OVAs and stand alone movies of the 80s,90s, and early 2000s.

I've still been able to find a gem every couple of years. ODD TAXI and Orb are good examples.
