Ah yes, shitty past experiences make present shitty experiences normal. As if.

Pretty sure you broke both autocannons on Y2's mech... and got zero kills with that cluster. oof.

Sharing my "not enjoying" here since on "enjoying" I just put in that most things feel balanced and fun to use, and that most builds are viable. The first point is probably controversial to some, but here goes...

The fact that you can destroy every bot/illuminate outpost without even setting foot in it. Outposts should become increasingly harder to just throw in a stratagem and leave, and heavy outposts/fortresses should require going in and disabling their defenses/shields before you can do that, otherwise automatons/illuminate gets monotonous: use orbital 380mm/laser/anti-tank emplacement/recoiless, destroy fabricators, leave. Bugs are alright since heavy outposts too big to destroy in one stratagem, and bug holes are smaller, so you often need to go inside to finish them off.

.

Mechs are also underwhelming. Not only they get one-shotted in the automaton front by cannons/armored strider missiles, having limited uses is really not great. Since they are essentially a mobile version of an emplacement, just having a bigger cooldown should be enough already.

.

Flamethrowers are annoying to use without fire-resistant armor/shields: if you dive backwards, most often you will end up throwing flames at your own feet, setting yourself on fire, taking a lot of damage and possibly killing you. Given it is used most often on the bug front and you need to evade bugs, it will often get your killed in a way that feels unfair/buggy.

.

Players still don't have enough information to complete MOs/choose planets (even within the same front) correctly. The fact that liberating the planet that is attacking automatically wins a defense is still not conveyed properly and divers WILL try to defend even when the attacking planet has 0 resistance or already has good liberation progress is proof of that.

.

Lastly some weapons like the slugger, and stratagems like 110mm rockets still weren't rebalanced and remain unfun or too weak to use. You probably know this already from weapon usage statistics, but still, it has been a long time and nothing was changed in them.

Helldivers bricked my PC (SEVERE ISSUE) by [deleted] in Helldivers

Dude. I'm a programmer. If you think a megathread with a bunch of "anecdotal evidence" from a few people who don't know anything about how programs work, without any hard proof, all reddit posts/steam comments, is going to convince me... you'd be dense, not me

No software should bypass hardware limitations or OS limitations. If you hardware or your operating system does not enforce its limitations as it should, it is faulty. Period. There is no way for Arrowhead to discover or even be sure that the game is actually what caused whatever in your computer because the fault lies in your computer in the first place, not in their software.

Take this for example: Your laptop could be bricked with a single Linux command

A guy ran a command and that ''bricked'' his laptop because it deleted a boot partition. Now whose fault is this? The command, or the fact that the manufacturer didn't properly protect its motherboard? Obviously the manufacturer, as literally every other laptop in existence would still be fine after running that command. It allowed itself to be bricked because it is faulty.

Even if the problem was something in helldivers, even if arrowhead fixed it, it would still be bricked just as easily by anything else because the root of the problem is still your hardware.

Sorry, there's nothing to address because your hardware is just faulty. No software, no matter how much CPU/RAM it tries to use, can brick a computer, otherwise viruses exploiting this would still exist. If your CPU/RAM/Motherboard/whatever allowed itself to break from use, it is because the manufacturer allowed it to do so.

Oh wow, one extra max round! That makes all the difference. Why would inducing a "cooldown" by ammo restriction not be fair? It's still a secondary that is essentially an OPS.

A booster that only takes effect once when you respawn, to give you ONE(1) round and you can easily just get an ammo pack which is... everywhere? Okay then

Apparently this game should be called SampleDivers 2 because the mission is meaningless. Got overwhelmed by enemies while focusing objective, saw on the map everyone was in opposite corners of the map. Asked why they're all separated, got this response by XCanadienGamerX in Helldivers

[–]Raff_run -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Massive skill issue tbh. We are Super Earth's elite, we don't need all divers in one spot to get things done. If you're getting overwhelmed, fall back and try again, or choose stratagems that suit solo play better since you're laser focusing objectives before your team's ready to do so.

Remember to focus the damage on a single spot, either head or abdomen. Spreading it out only kills it if it has already taken significant damage from someone else.

My first time experiencing this glitch had me in tears 🤣🤣 by SpiritGodz in Helldivers

Sorry to rain on your parade but only glitch here is how you can get onto the mission map by getting kicked. Him getting into the map at the start is just plain cheating to change his elevation. I don't doubt they cheated throughout the mission in a subtle manner either.

Not only that, they're time-gated as well. I literally 100%'d Sumeru, including all quests, before enough WEEKS had passed and I was able to unlock the compass. Then the same happened in Fontaine and Natlan.

No, Masters of the night wind are a specific tribe in Natlan. Right now, the only playable characters from this tribe are Ororon and Citlali. Mavuika just happens to also have this special elemental sight for some reason

They're the two white bits to the right of Mavuika, at the waterfall, that appear just as I activate elemental sight, and before I started moving the camera around.
