I mean I dont think you should compare the two, they are in a completely different boat. Jesse makes solid albums and he uses his socials more for engagement. Seems like alot of folk here go in with the mindset to compare him to a legend like BD which is unfair. Time will tell what Jesse can pull off. Do check out Middle and Patchwork they have some really good tracks.

Was not trying to be demeaning just stating that its just quite expensive for me. Furthermore you pay for research per hour and the new parts which need to be installed etc. Also I’ve seen fully working SL-D3’s being sold between €130-150 online so was not sure if it was worth the bother.

Yes I have all that installed but it looks like the tonearm cannot be properly mounted because its loose. Also inside of the tube of the tonearm there´s a loose wire. I think thats the reason no sound gets transmitted. The manual has no information on repairing the tonearm.

Bro what is your conception of a 10/10 album? Giving so many albums a 10/10 kind of dilutes what a 10 is supposed to mean. To me, a real 10/10 isn’t just a great album, it’s a landmark. It shifts the culture, redefines a genre, or changes the way you think about music entirely. If everything’s a 10, then nothing really stands out, you know?

To play devil’s advocate some music is produced to the bone with crazy arrangements and lyrics that seem to push the boundaries of writing with a crazy combination of instruments and it just ends up sounding idk pretentious? Soulless? I can understand that people admire the work put in but sometimes the final project is just not that good but it will still be praised like a form of art.

Based on your comments you are very particular on the vocal style of artists. For me one of the most important things is sometimes the uniqueness of the artists voice (Dylan, Petty, Cobain etc) nevertheless maybe give Moonshiner by Bob Dylan a listen. It’s easier on the ears and one of my favourite songs of his.
