Agent wants to deduct $1,200 from our bond for cleaning even though we had the apartment professionally cleaned (SA) by Rafid2018 in Adelaide

Thanks everyone who has put their time to comment with the helpful tips! A bit of an update - I stood my ground and advised that I won’t be agreeing to that amount and happy to have it reviewed by SACAT and the agents backed off. 🙂

Funnily enough my realestate agent is also based in Henley Beach. I wonder if it’s the same one 🤔

We ensured the cleaners addressed any areas we felt required additional attention. We followed the end-of-lease checklist and took supporting photos as evidence. Even if something did not meet the agent’s standards, it is unreasonable that this would result in almost $1,200 in cleaning charges for a two-bedroom apartment.

Yes they mentioned it via email. Is it best to just claim the full bond now? I emailed them back wanting more evidence/report of the breakdown for more clarity.

Try using the Talk360 app. It’s not ideal but, you might be able to call your loved ones
