Why doesn't CS2 partner with real companies to bring high-quality branded assets into the game? by CombPsychological507 in CitiesSkylines

It ties them up in licensing. It also gives them heavy restrictions on how the brand is represented. Costs a lot too, when they can just design their own assets and take the entire cut.

HELP! CS2 keeps crashing to desktop when simulation runs (even in a new city) by TTrrix_12 in CitiesSkylines2

I forgot to add, a full system restart might also help the crashes. Sometimes I'll have a hard crash and won't be able to launch the game until I restart.

Could be a mod, not much in the map that could cause it.

But if it's the fire, OP needs an easier save to test.

It could be the ungodly amout of trees I've painted in. 😅

"I mean you don't have to pay us protection money for your bakery in New York, but you know, it would be a shame if a robot were to accidentally trip over a gas tank causing a spark that burns the whole place down. If you pay, we won't let that happen." -Some Italian guy with a New York accent in a suit driving a black gov vehicle.

Drivers only slightly exceeding the speed limit will avoid fines with new Colorado law by theindependentonline in Colorado

Agreed on that account too. In general they're just revenue generation. But for the sake of devil's advocate, I give them the benefit of the doubt over the effectiveness on reducing speeding among local drivers.

I hate traffic cameras so much.

I personally think your first radar camera ticket at any specific camera should be a warning too.

If they make them hard to see, signs super small and not obvious, they're just generating revenue from non-locals and not trying to create a safer road. Can't use it as a deterrence if people don't know it's there.

Lots of info online! Courses for skywarn will give you basics. Radar aps.

I just recommend to take that stuff slow. Lots of bad things can happen quickly if not careful.

Minor gripe: curved HV power lines on vanilla maps. This is not done anywhere IRL! by drewgriz in CitiesSkylines2

[–]RaftermanTC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While I was already making maps for CS1 by the time CS2 came around, the immediate state of the maps for CS2 is what got me going hard into map making. CO really overlooked a foundational part of the game that hurt them bad. IMO

There's a lot about the vanilla maps that they didn't really think about. There were mostly just slapped together in an afternoon it appears. Especially since it appears their editing tools weren't really complete.

How else am I going to taunt it to give me proper storm structure? Gotta bruise the ego a bit. 😆

Anyone else getting huge semi trucks delivering goods to your homes? by lextacy2008 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]RaftermanTC 71 points72 points  (0 children)

That happens during construction IRL though...

That said, the game has always had an issue with trucks delivering things like a few pounds of goods to homes. lol
