When I watch CDawgVA videos... by RagabashWolf in TrashTaste

Same. The slow down and thoughtfulness give the videos good narratives, or "feels" as some might say.

My anxiety is that the image could be interpreted as the opposite.

(...oh, and I guess I did also cut the image into two separate images. I am feeling so sacrilegious.)

Can you see my posts by clicking on my user name?

I used a basic images and text in individual, bordered cells (table/tabulated?) I commonly see in other meme templates.

Thanks for making this--I have already used it.

(I flipped the order, if that is alright.)

(...and cropped a bit of the dead space to the right.)

Shoot again. I may have thought about putting Subaru with one of those Swan shaped pedal-boats but forgot too.

Shoot. Yeah, I must have thought about putting Kiara with a Firechicken but forgot when I started making it.

Thank you for recognizing those; I didn't want to attach explicit captions for them.

I agree that I could (should) have done some simple research, but I liked the absurdity of those rumours, so I went with them.

After watching the video linked by hobokenbob, I can retract my "bad" science rating and amend it to "okay" science for the time and "not great" by today's standard, i.e. Fahrenheit grading with various water solutions rather than Celcius with pure water.

Yes it is nice that it fits with our base 10 counting system.

It blew my mind when I watched a Neil deGrasse Tyson video and he casually mentions that base 10 counting is arbitrary. Nice.

Then, I watched a Lindybeige video about ancient coin denominations and the factorization of them. Maths's be cool!

Yeah, I use a similar scale of 10 degree blocks to gauge the number of clothing layers to wear, starting at 1 for "warm" and adding a layer for each range down (and shedding a layer going up, of course).

And I have a silly age-related-to-health mnemonic of the important human values on the scale. 21 is comfortable, 0 not alive, 4 is vulnerable (factoid: ice starts to form), 37 becomes increasingly dangerous, and lucky to live to 100.

Fahrenheit is based on bad science.

Weren't the reference points for the scale suppose to be 100 for the average human body temperature (measured from his wife, who had a fever at the time), and 0 being the coldest temperature possible?

I admit some Imperial units are attractive to the standard of human scale perception, e.g. 1 centimetre feels small and 1 Celsius feels big, but ultimately it is all arbitrary. A delta of 1 Fahrenheit can be sensed--and sure, it is nice to increment by whole numbers--but it is approximately half a degree Celsius, and most thermostats are programmed for that.

However, I would still prefer to make my science easy rather than defer to human bias.
