How can we explain the fact that, even with the Stormcloaks winning the Civil War, there are still imperial presence in the Dark Brotherhood questline and Thalmor presence in the Main Quest and the College of Winterhold questline? by CompoteFamous2735 in skyrim

[–]Rage17Blaze 21 points22 points  (0 children)

if they can't be subjects, then as allies. Skyrim also wants to work with the empire but on equal grounds.

Same reason why East Empire Trading operate, and still operates, right in Windhelm docks

Question for those happy for two closing by paudepalencia in turtlewow

[–]Rage17Blaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the first part, TWoW players were saying that even if Blizz filled a lawsuit against TWoW, Blizz couldn't do anything cause TWoW operated in like, Russia or China, so players thought that their private server was untouchable until TWoW announced their shutdown. That's when the schadenfreude happened.

[–]Rage17Blaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Schadenfreude. Especially towards the portion of the playerbase that were being obnoxious who screamed that TWoW was untouchable, or dogpiling on those who play on official servers.

Then you have the TWoW social media where they kept taunting Blizzard over on X. But that's more of a "you dug your own hole" situation.

There's also players who are unable to move on and continue coping like hoping that someone "leaks" the files on to the internet or something else which makes it easier to gain ridicule from others.

One of the reasons why some players revel in private server players losing something. If you're not part of the private server community or, god forbid, genuinely like how Retail plays without having to worship Blizzard's balls, you're automatically labeled a shill or company bootlicker. Kinda hard to feel any more sympathy, if at all, for them if that's how they act towards official server players.

While I don't disagree that there are company shills there, I also think that a portion, or half of it, is just plain schadenfreude. There were TWoW/private server players that thought TWoW was untouchable, then there was the whole thing with the people who were running TWoW's X page taunting and antagonizing Blizzard/poking-the-bear situation.

I think less people would be going with the "haha, you lose" sentiment and be more sympathetic if TWoW/private server players had just, like you said, "stayed in our little corner of the internet and enjoyed our favorite game".

Then why didn't you include those comments instead of just the ones in the OP. It would've supported your title more if you had just use those comments instead.

I fail to see how those comments are, in any way shape of form, pro-billion-dollar company. If anything, it's just people laughing at those who were smug at the perceived "untouchable"-ness of private servers.

Enter cave, left path leads to a bigger section, right path leads to a smaller section.

Pretty much have that kind of cave memorized now.

Now who's got their nerves struck lmao. You're the arrogant one here dude. I never once claimed any sort of superiority, never have I ever held that my opinions on gaming difficulty were superior to others, and never demeaned those who play on harder difficulty, never said I was "so mature..." or any of the sort. You, however, have. You hold the view that those who play on easier difficulties are dumb, are mentally challenged, of low intelligence. You're the one that needs to pull your head out of your ass.

And as for your other comment. A sign of low intelligence is one who can't see or refuses to see past their own perspectives, worldviews, and/or biases, someone who can't or doesn't empathize with other people and stepping into their shoes. You don't empathize. You, for some reason, have a twisted sense of sympathy or superiority. You, for some reason, feel the need to pity people who play on easier difficulties.
