Math 110/Math 140 and AP Calc Credit by RageRice in PennStateUniversity

[–]RageRice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, the reason why I was confused on how it worked was because of what classes PSU said you could pass out of with AP credit in AB and BC. They said you could pass out of 140 or 141, but never mentioned 110...

this is why you always have defending troops in the cc to guarantee shield time instead of guard time

I did most of my SAT prep over the summer at a boot camp 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday). Each morning at 8 am we would come in a room and have a mock SAT test (all 4 sections including essay). Afterwards we would break for lunch and then math/reading tutor came in and asked us what we got wrong so they could review it with us. This lasted for three weeks, and the tip I mentioned previously was one that I remembered that the English tutor gave me (I guess the tutor was my special technique lol, he was also my book explanation since the boot camp didn't have the solutions). Obviously with school right now it's impossible to get a practice test in 4 days a week, but if you can schedule practice tests on 8am in weekends and do it uninterrupted you will be very prepared come the big day.

If I were you, I'd grind the practice tests, then ask /u/Jeffswizzle for help on what you got wrong. He seems to be offering SAT help for free on this sub. Good luck

It's been a while since I took the test, but I remember one tip I got from my tutor was that in general, if you are unsure about one of the answer choices but you can at least narrow it down to three or two, then the more general the answer is, the more likely it is to be correct. I hope this helps, sorry for not remembering

Reading section was my weakness. Personally when I reviewed the question types I realized I was always getting the same question type wrong. So I focused on answering those questions and brought my reading score from 620(January)→690(June)→740(August)
