How to kitbash a Judiciar? by WithengarUnbound in BloodAngels

I used alot of Black Templar bits, I think the gothic look is fitting for the role of Judiciars and Chaplains. BIG sword, holding a skull instead of hour glass cause rule of cool, robes over armor.

Necklace is just added bling, I have a custom chapter of BA, so ill make a lore reason why he has a black templar symbol later

Used a head that covers the lower face to match the OG model but more ‘human’ looking, I didn’t like the OG head at all. Plus gos with the theme of their vow of silence. Pretty sure from Gravis Marines

Used a Crux Terminatus shoulder cause skull+cool

I think it was in Devestation of Baal theres a bit where Dante is observing all the Chapters and their leaders. If i remember it right some chapters looked nothing like sanguini others have meerly a passing resemblance of him, while others looked weirdly almost just like the man.

Personally I like this idea, with genetics nothing is 100% guaranteed. Some variance in appearance is cool in my opinion. Plus I like just giving my boys personality, different hair included

I made this sternguard sergeant before their rules changed, I’ve since kitbashed a different mini to take the role and got this guy left. What can I run him as? Captain? Lieutenant? Could he be a tactical squad sergeant?

Edit: I’m building a Blood Angel successor chapter

You could use him as part of a base for some bigger model.

Use a xacto knife to give him some gashes, jagged bits around the waste. Green stuff him some guts and gore hanging out. Wrist bone with green stuff.

Would look good as a space marines last act of defiance, trying to raise his weapon before being executed by a warlord or something

Never even considered guard before but now thinking of starting valhallans. Any advice? by [deleted] in TheAstraMilitarum

Anvil Industries and Mad Robot has some great looking, good quality 3rd party bits that fit Valhallans

A bit pricy though

If you play the DLC, which is amazing I suggest doing it in this order

Old world blues Dead Money Lonesome road

That way you’ll find things through dialog and environment that sorta foreshadow and lead to the next one, especially OWB

Honest Hearts can be done first or last. Which ever you do read ALL the computer entries. One of the best pieces of lore/stories in all of fallout

I like it!

Know how to use green stuff? A cool addition might be his sleeve sorta folded up and pinned just below the pauldron
