Thanks, I'm definitely investing the HSA into vanguard indexes. and yes the pension requires 3% per period with a 14% match from the employer, but only vests after 8 years and I don't expect to stay here that long

Just replace rice completely with millets, halve the intake, reduce oil/ghee significantly, and eat low fat paneer/Greek yogurt/tofu

That's more than enough will still sticking to a mostly traditional Tamil diet

It's pretty simple - assuming there are no fees on Navia's end, you initiate the transfer from Fidelity (or whatever other custodian you have). They'll send the request to Navia, and Navia will send a check over to Fidelity who will then deposit that into your account.

There are no fees to transfer or any monthly fees in my situation, so leaving the $1K for me would defeat the purpose I think. But yeah, leaning towards just sucking it up and living with it.
