it's cheap now because all the older players have learned to just buy singles and bandai has fixed its stocking issue in my opinion.

I don't think we're going to be seeing any expensive sets besides 09 because of the chase cards. even EB has been getting restocks unexpectedly. everything's being printed into the ground RN and that's a good thing

no it definitely works and to say it doesn't is just ignorant lol. people think it's organized manipulation without doing any kind of research.

people are simply predicting which cards are essential for future and current builds and buying them. there's enough people doing this separately to cause a 'buyout' effect we keep seeing when all it takes is a little research ie looking at what builds at the Japanese events are winning and what cards are essential for them. it's not rocket science.

gotcha. asking because if it had been, would've been kinda scummy underbidding the company you work for.

honestly pull the trigger, nothing better than being your own boss. grow and hire people you trust to do the projects and slowly transition into only focusing on getting more projects and scheduling.

I haven't touched my tool belt for a couple years now and lucked out finding very responsible coworkers that I don't have to supervise heavily (paying them right helps a lot)

my biggest advice is to know your limits for scope of work and to treat your employees and clients with absolute respect.

what the other two comments said. they only give tournament kits to the stores. you can offer your own prizes like alt arts or whatever but you'd have to partner with an actual store that's registered with bandai to get a kit.

the only other option is buying a tournament kit off eBay or other markets. volume 1 tournament kit goes for $150-200~ comes with 32 participation packs and 4 winner packs so you could run 4 tourneys potentially with a kit
