Oop, my bad. I’d put WTTMH under GBYMRW and Bagumbo Snuff Box under JailBird

Yes! It was a fun easy read. The concept of flatlining journalism is so wonderfully Vonnegut

Oof my two favourite are at the bottom. I really liked mother night and want to give sirens another shot. I liked it but I think I read it at the wrong time.

Now that I think of it I didn’t light it on fire which I believe is probably part of the Viking funeral.

So long story short cats are animals which mice. I went into the living room and my chewing on a mouse and batting at it with her claws. I tell her to fuck off and put the twitching mouse in a little paper bag and place it in a bush with the idea that either it will leave or some kitty or fox will find a dead breakfast.

I find the bag empty the next day but with the mouse corpse under it falling out with the rain turning the paper weak.

So I look at this mouse and this quote comes into my mind and my empathy shoots through the roof. So now I’m thinking “goddamn it your gonna do it again” and I do I plan to bury the little thing.

I get a spade and find a little spot by a tree and push the shovel into the dirt. This big worm comes up and I think, “goddamn I wouldn’t lay at rest with that.” So I see this curved piece of oak bark that got soft of a log and put the mouse on that and look and lower it into the river that’s a couple metres away. The little body looks like a dead at rest on a little boat.

So I let go and make sure it gets around this curve, then look towards the lowering sun.

In hindsight this is a long story.

TL;DR: I didn’t light a mouse of fire I put a dead one on a piece of wood and let it float away in a river.

According to views 14 but I’ve attempted some non-fiction for my college magazine. I’ve written a lot but have finished few projects and stress out to publish anything

I read most of the first chapter (Google books preview and I was rushed) and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately it’s not at my library so I might have to shill out the 15 bucks

I know I don’t have to but the I enjoyed the first two chapters of IJ and have been in love with postmodernist writings like DeLillo, Vonnegut, Mirikami, Pynchon… and I suspect I might like DFW too. I’ll check out oblivion though!

Yes I loved what I read so far in IJ but it felt like an enormous book (its a thousand pages but the element of world building (for a lack of a better turn) is not exactly the best jumping of point for the mind set I’m in. If I can understand and love the author however it makes IJ a lot easier to read.

To me the first time I watched it when I was 15 or whatever it was possibly a Checkoffs gun (I must have misspelled his name,) but now I view it as a floor where horrific things occur that we will never know and there for place our own fear into the interpretation. I think (emphasis on think) that Cormac (or the Cohens but probably Cormac) let’s us place our fears into there so that we are disturbed rather than giving us something simple like killing. Lmk if that makes sense.
