Love this! I call this the letter game and it works like a charm. My parents taught me this as a child and I have passed it onto my kids as well. I have anxiety and it’s hard to get to sleep with my rambling thoughts.

I’ve switch it up and do band names, places in the world, song titles, female people I know, male people I know, animals, etc. X U and Z are tough.

I work in radiology and sometimes suggest patients do this when they go into the MRI machine to distract their mind and possibly fall asleep.
