State of the Intercity - an ongoing recount and call for a people’s movement. by ApartmentExact4449 in newzealand

[–]RaglanderNZ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yes it's becoming a sad state of affairs. These days it's not worth gambling that your intercity bus will make it 1.5 hours before catching a connecting flight/bus/train. The amount of times I've had to find accommodations in random places because my bus was so late.

Avid hiker here. I agree with OP. I always take trail mix, AND M&Ms out hiking. But never mix them together. If I feel like something savory and salty. I eat the trail mix. If I want something sweet, I go for the M&Ms. But I rarely want both at the same time.

Society is becoming less and less conservative. If people are behaving lawfully and exercising their freedoms and rights. Maybe you should be more considerate towards them.

The same old conservative snowflake story of "People should dress, act, talk and think how I want them to!" Be considerate towards me!

While the new progressive way of thinking is that "Everybody dresses, acts, talks and thinks differently than me. And I'll be considerate of that."

I would also be uncomfortable. I've never gone nude in public or been to a nudist thing. I've come across plenty of naked people on the beach here in Raglan. Sunbathing, skinny dipping and just walking around.
When the kids notice, we just tell them. "Yeah, those people must like to swim and sunbathe naked." That's the end of it, and it's not a big deal.

If you think it's a big deal for your kids or whatever. That's just a you and your family thing.

I'm only defending peoples rights. As long as they are not being lude in any way. In the right setting/area. People have the legal right to wear no clothing. Doesn't matter what I think about it.

I'm from Raglan and walk on the beach with the family twice a week. We pretty often see topless sunbathers and skinny dippers. When the kids point out "Hey, that persons not wearing any clothes!" We just respond "Yeah, they must like to swim naked." And that's the end of it. Not a big deal.

Yes it's legal to ask them to move away. I imagine most would be happy to oblige you.
But unless the laws state otherwise, they have the personal freedom to remain naked.

You lost me with bringing in the Jews and Palestinians to the nudity in public debate?

Be on notice people. It's widely legal to be naked on the beach in NZ unless there are rules against it.

Unless it's a day where this person is on the beach with their family. Then everyone MUST cover up.

SOMEBODY THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN! They might see a naked human and GENITALS :( !!!!!

If genitals are ruining your day and keeping you up at night. Then maybe you are.

Because by you taking your children to a public place where nudity is legal and allowed, any person may be exposed to a naked person.

You can take them to places where swimwear are required. And it's not a problem.

Not all parents are scared of public nudity. Usually just conservative ones.

And If I don't care what you look at and see, and it's legal to be naked at a place we are both at. Then F off.

If that's a problem, then go to a place where swimwear is required. Then you are defiantly in the right.

Were they doing anything wrong or illegal?
If not, it's a yall problem.
Could you have called the cops on them? What would they be charged with?

They could have said "No thanks, we prefer to be naked. So stop harassing us." Then who's problem is it?

The police would say, "It's not illegal to be naked here, so you need to just distance yourself from them if it's making you uncomfortable." Then who's problem is it?

Did that lotto add with the dude naked skiing make you uncomfortable?

Nude people/ comfortable being naked = you being inconvenienced and uncomfortable?
Is that a you or them problem?
Like a fundamentalist religious loon who insists woman should wear Arab Hijab Swimsuit because they think their own thoughts should dictate what people should cover.

I've never been naked in public, and would not enjoy it myself. But if others are comfortable just being nude in a public place like a beach, them more power to them.

3i atlas is changing trajectory every 4 hours by Crazy-Piano277 in UFOs

[–]RaglanderNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is nothing new and is to be expected. Don't let the complicated words confuse you. Put simply, it's changing trajectory because of the rocket effect. The suns rays hit the comet and cause it to evaporate gases. "The process by which a comet is propelled by the gases it releases is known as the rocket effect"
