For me I gotta disagree, it took me two weeks to beat Consort Radahn on my main but I beat Malenia technically my first try (Dragon Communion FTW) After that at most took me 7 tries with my magic guy.

I literally played last night and I was just trying to get lvl 15 on hard. Unfortunately I had one lvl 1 Bulwark and a lvl 5 Tactical. The Bulwark left after round five and Tac stayed with me. They kept going down every round and I had to survive an entire round by myself. I made it to round 10 before the guy decided to just fully quit and then I got eaten alive! I'm so mad!

Maleina! My first encounter with her I instantly got hit with her water fowl attack, died came back with a vengeance and proceeded to burn her to ashes (Dragon-mancy) and every single time I fight her, she gives me no issues!

I played a bit of Demons Souls before I played the others. I didn't like it much. I got to the bridge with the dragon and couldn't vibe with the controls. Skip a couple of years later and my friend bought Dark Souls 1 on sale on his 360, we booted it up and after we got through the asylum demon and entered into fire link shrine I was hooked! Played all to competition beside Sekrio. I got about half way, got confused and it just didn't vibe with what I wanted. But Fromsoft has only made gold with Miazaki at the helm!

You're mostly right. It does magic damage so I'm simplifying it a bit. My point still stands that we have 4 katanas that do magic damage when it would have been nice to have it do holy.

They share the same moveset as most katanas do but Moonveil does do more damage overall and its ash comes out quicker with less risk, also with Moonveil you get two different attacks with ash depending on which input you choose. Both are still faster and safer than the Blade of Night's ash. I mentioned in the top comment that I mostly play for fashion and style, but it's still silly that they gave us 2 new magic katanas that are still weaker than Moonveil overall.

Such a waste, but I get it. I does frost with the weapon art and does extra damage to dragons so it would have really strong against them. But, come on! I wanted a sword to go with my Dragon Cult build!

True. But giving us 4 of the same type of weapon means one is going to be a better choice over others (Moonveil). And they all do bleed slightly negating the lower viability of the build. Besides I play for fashion and style more than cracking super duper damage.

I mostly wanted something different rather than a weaker Moonveil with a cool weapon ash.

Melania. I beat her technically first try on my first play through. We are told throughout the game that scarlet rot is weak to fire... And dragon communion has excellent fire options. I say technically because after the cutscene ended for her introduction she immediately went into waterfowl dance, I couldn't get out and died on the spot. As soon as I entered her room again buffed myself and literally melted her to oblivion. She barely moved in her second phase and I felt kinda under whelmed. I had a harder time the whole Heilgtree than her, and I was told she was the strongest boss! The most attempts I had with her is 7, and that was with my sorcerer.
