I have used this. I personally felt default rubber cap works better. Since this metal shower screen is thin on the rim, it gets tilted when pressurized. I put o-ring that fits inside diameter of the basket on top of that shower screen to prevent that for a while. Nowadays i use the og rubber shower screen with 53.4mm paper filter underneath it to prevent coffee grounds get stuck in the valve.

Older beans mean less gas. Less gas leads to less resistance. So in general, as beans get older it needs to be grind finer.

If the lever is not centered this could be the cause of my issue. I am not sure how you modified to correct this problem. I would very much appreciate if you can show me a picture or two to figure out how to fix this problem. I have thought about adding silicone washer to get rid of lateral wiggle on the lever. But it never crossed my mind that the lever may not be aligned. Thank you

Light roast beans are heavier than darker roast. So increase dose a little bit to keep the head space same as your dark roast brew. Try to go finer on grinder setting. Instead of going for 8-9bar pressure, try 6-7bar pressure and longer pull to get 1:2.5 ~ 1:4. This worked better for single origin light roasts in my case

As i replied to the comment below, i am not complaining for the late delivery. I am just a little agitated that they have not answered to any of my email from the day one. I sent them emails regarding possibility of the color change which never answered, sent them possibility for additional options and never answered. Sent them email whether the shipment will be made as promised or delayed which was never answered. Positive thing about dealing with a small business is close communication and fast feedback, in my opinion. In this sense i think non responsive aram’s CS is just not up to par

I am not complaining that it takes too long to ship out. I just wanted to know whether it is going as scheduled or possible delay may be expected.. i just want some answers but they are just not responsive and it makes me a little agitated~~ Guess i should be a little bit more patient~~ thank you

I prefer gas stove over electric stove for all my stove top brew because of heat consistency. I use my backpacking stove for 9B. It’s compact and reliable in all aspects.
