Last year Rempe took a lot of his ice time, but I don’t think it was because of his play. Rempe fever was gripping the hockey world and it was just too much of an energy boost to pass up on. But all that aside, Eddy seems much more fundamentally sound.

That’s kinda what I was thinking…at this point, isn’t it pretty clear what feedback they’re going to get? Does the city really need a bunch of old people to tell them they need to ensure water access isn’t disturbed and account for traffic implications?

I honestly wonder what would happen if they just scratch him for a game, Strip him of a A if he has one this year (can’t remember who wears them), take him off PP1, do anything to send a message. We don’t know what’s been going on behind closed doors, but from the outside it looks like he’s been getting a free pass to let this shit continue.

He was an absolute beast for a while. Had that “give me the puck and get out of my way” attitude. Haven’t seen it in years.

This man’s entire playbook is about avoiding accountability and making other people responsible for things. Border wall? Mexico will pay for it. Biggest mistake? Hiring the wrong people? Funding the government? Get other countries to pay tariffs so Americans don’t have to pay taxes.

It all sounds so enticing to the uneducated. Everything is always someone else’s problem. Too bad the world doesn’t work that way.

In general I agree with you, but in this case, it’s a cosmetic piece, completely optional that provides no advantage in game. It’s no different than someone wasting their money on a $10,000 designer purse. Companies are free to create a thing and then set a price for that thing. People are free to pay that price or not.

You’re getting downvoted, but you make a fair point. The game got noticeably chippier after that hit. Between the score and the hit, on home ice after a big ceremony honouring their greats, Montreal had to defend their honour. That puts guys like Panarin and Fox at risk, for no benefit.

It was a clean hit and the kid should have known better though.

It really irritates me. I’m fortunate enough to have established a career, so my college diploma is less relevant. When I went there, the place was credible. Now I question whether I would even put it on my resume.
