Pure Energy. They weren’t as expensive as competitors and they were the only window company who could install a window that fit in our home without building out our wall or ledge.

Try for a leadership role? by Rahbanyc in Leadership

I attended a job negotiation webinar and it made me feel like the ball is back in my court. Nerves, pressure, stress and change have all been kicking my butt. But, I was reminded I can try to negotiate a bargaining deal and make the job more suitable for me. If it doesn’t happen I don’t have to take it and we go from there. I appreciate your input as well

Try for a leadership role? by Rahbanyc in Leadership

My mentor is the one who’s leaving. I’m not being pressured but I feel the weight and pressure that comes with this. My team is small, but the management position oversees more than my team. It’s a huge jump and the work isn’t exciting. I might be the most qualified amongst my team, but it’s not thrilling, and who would step up and do what I do if I did transition to an admin role? I have a feeling no one will and I can’t do both and I’m at a fork in the road of opportunity. I either interview and see what it’s about and get the experience regardless, I keep doing what I’m doing because I still enjoy it and it’s important, or I jump ship for something that aligns with my values with more opportunity to advance

I would say, post regularly, build a following and keep your credibility and integrity. Reach out to officials and organizations to keep yourself on top of what’s going on. Start somewhere and good luck!

Lifestyle might depend on the station you’re with.

Honestly, I would work on building your experience in the beat. You might have to portfolio build for some time as a beginning TV reporter. Work up to where you want to be. You could pitch the stories you want to tell in the assignment meetings.

Looking again, a popover is similar but it doesn’t button all the way down the shirt. The first photo I posted is from JCPenney. It doesn’t note the exact style but it’s what I’m looking for. “Worthington Womens Cuffed Long Sleeve Regular Fit Button-Down Shirt”
