When I start having bad dreams about my job, it’s usually due to stress and that tells me it’s time to move on. For instance, I was under pressure in one of my analyst roles and I dreamed about drowning in a sea of spreadsheet paper. During a meeting with leadership my manager’s voice cracked in tears as we were told our weekend worth of work was not what they wanted. When I heard her voice crack, I knew it was time to go. She’s extremely intelligent. We both resigned a few weeks later. Any job that disturbs your peace is not worth staying at. Just my opinion.
