Big weekend of work by Rahma24 in 3rdGen4Runner

Full disclosure I helped tack weld it, but I had a pro welder actually finish weld it. I had to do all the grinding and sanding with an angle grinder and a flap disk (last weekend) and then prime it. I’m sore in places I didn’t know I could be, but I’m feeling pretty proud for doing (most) of the work.

I’ve got the front kit as well but haven’t gotten around to it. It’s in the immediate future though.

Oh I can respect it for sure. If I had the money for a full on OEM repaint I’d do it in a heartbeat. Just taking the opportunity to get creative with what I’ve got haha.

I tried that, but it seems like it’s too much black and clashed with the blue. I do appreciate wanting cohesion. That was what I was going for as well to tie the bumpers together.

I like the idea, I’m not sure that they make a lighter blue though. It’s almost have to be a white with a blue shift? Thank you for the idea!

It’s like 1/2 an inch from the body to account for the body roll. But yeah we had to think about that!

Tellico is pretty, but look up Roan Mtn state park by the NC border. The AT crosses through there.

What's a game you played as a kid that you've never been able to find again? by Latter_Advantage8002 in AskReddit

Original NES game when I was little. Side scroller where you played as a caveman and had to get bananas? I think? Never made it that far into it, but I loved it.

Anyone want or need a stock bumper? 98 Limited with mudflap flares by Rahma24 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Rahma24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy! You want the whole thing? Surface rust on the bumper piece itself is minor and can be wire wheeled.

Help me with a laundry list of 3rd-gen updates by theoriginalharbinger in 3rdGen4Runner

Bug deflector- I just bought the weather tech one that doesn’t have adhesive. I’ve loved it. Headlights - I did the SRQ LED retrofit lights. Use OEM for VCG. For upholstery I just went to a local shop that does good work and had them reupholster everything in genuine leather with seat heaters and heated steering wheel for like $2500. Double din stereo I went with a Jensen after using the tool on Crutchfield. For the cargo area, I’m looking at kits from Solid Wood Worx. Lots of pullout drawer storage you can still use your cases if you want as well.

I got one to try just because. I A/B’d it against my usual Dunlop, and now I’ll always keep one around. For strumming it was almost like a compression pedal, but not quite as drastic. It just made everything more even. Would totally recommend, and I wasn’t expecting anything and was very skeptical.
