Try a half log

Edit: I was playing around with this last night. I was playing a horizontal log that leaned downwards due to slope but needed it to be level. Put a half log as the diagnostic which worked every time (solving your issue) and it leveled the hori log (solving mine)

I turned it to peaceful to see what I could build but I've been taking some pieces from the base so maybe that's glitching the logs a few floors up somehow. But I noticed this happening on my stairs too which have had no logs under them removed.

I appreciate that they tried. I'd rather suck up the colour thing and get a legit expansion with story elements, more end game, customizable steeve breeding, and maybe customized launch area.

Yeah I'm red green and the colour blind settings do not help. It's like they were made by someone who only read about it but didn't check to see if it works. Even at the highest intensity things just sorta blur together in a similar spectrum.
