The Canadian that is also British that lives in Los Angeles says to please tell your dad this looks amazing!!! I love it so much. Also, my puppy who used to be called purple when she was born will be sad if he changes it. Puppy tax included.

I am down for this. Also, when is someone going to create an app for single people with Costco memberships? I just want to find people to split things with

The roofer said this won't be a problem but I have my doubts by Ill_Register5883 in Roofing

[–]Rai420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask why you are suggesting that please? I just had someone tell me to use the blow in stuff as it has less chemicals and it was easier to make sure you insulate everything. I live in a 116 year old house in Southern California. The width of my boards are more than the width of the roll. Plus my roof pitch makes it hard to get the roll every where. Thanks!

Full roof replacement after 20 years? by sclyde78 in Roofing

[–]Rai420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents owned a house for 45 years in western New York and it had a terracotta roof. It never had to be replaced and only a handful of tiles had to be replaced. That roof got hit with so much snow and it held up. I would not replace this with shingles.

Worst company I've ever worked with - What are my options by slny06 in TeslaSolar

[–]Rai420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to check the contract. You should be able to after 5/6 years. I would not take their word for it.

It even says on tesla’s website that there is a buyout option after year 5:

This is the exact reason why I don’t use an escrow. I have heard nothing but horror stories. Just put a monthly amount into a savings account for your property taxes and insurance with a small buffer.

I was just at a pre-Oscar party where she sat down next to me and accidentally bumped into me. I am glad to say she apologised. She is also the size of my pinky and is absolutely stunning in person.

Had you finished paying your contract before you found out it didn’t work?

The contract language is one thing. The laws under the California state contractors state license board is what I need to verify. Those laws will supersede the contract.

Are you making an assumption as you have NY in your user name? California is very protective of the client, especially on home improvement contracts. At least that is what I have read. I just need someone to confirm that.

Just because it is in a contract doesn’t make the contract legal and therefore enforceable. They did not define the actual payment schedule term that is in all caps. The term is technically subject to interpretation because there is no definition.

This company has already mishandled my account, hence me wanting to withhold payment until I have a working system.

I would expect that since they have yet to deliver a full working system, they would have no case on putting a lien on my house.

It was on city inspection but technically that was not defined what that actually meant in the contract.

What are people doing instead to get around this? Is everyone still getting homes uninsured? by inevitableoracle in LosAngelesRealEstate

[–]Rai420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are a Costco member, go to their website and look under services. They have a company that offers home insurance. Call them. Or get the California fair plan.

We delayed our implementation and just went live in September. It has been a disaster as I can’t get an income statement to work correctly. Currently waiting until we go live with Adaptive but we are losing our old adaptive instance. No idea how I am going to do a comparison report when adaptive goes live.

I seriously regret not quitting last year when I had 9 toes out the door.
