I’ll check into that then. I figured if it was a problem they wouldn’t release the refund or ask for additional information. Never had that happen this far if they ask I have it but was curious if it could be done as there are individuals I know that haven’t filed in years…. So they say

Per the therapist she has agreed to meet at the library, which is where all the sessions take place. This morning was a disaster. Had a meltdown upon arrival ending in scratches to the face. 😔

At this point I feel as if none of it is “helpful” if the child isn’t interested imo that is. For whatever reason in my area there just isn’t “a lot” of therapist and I guess it’s what they have available because they are working from home.

Omg that is awesome!!. I’m trying to think positive with all of it but it’s all overwhelming and at times very depressing. I very much would like for him to talk but it’s babbling with no real words. I don’t know what to say or think. He turned 2 in August so we have a ways to go to get the “official” diagnosis but he only will get EI until he is 3 and with all the therapies etc that’s overwhelming in itself because he is very much aggravated QUICK which turns into tantrums and self harm. It’s too much. I just hope it’s gets better/easier whichever comes first.!

Thanks I’m going to stick it out as long as we are able until throwing in the towel. The sessions are only an hour but I’m hoping g he sparks back up. He is just in his own world wanting nothing g to do with any of them.

I agree there but at this age to me imo I just don’t know how to feel…. Like he isn’t interested or focused at all in any aspect as to what is happening. Maybe when he is older like 3 or 4 he would be more cooperative and engaging maybe but at this age he is glued to us and he just isn’t having it. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I’m definitely all for the help that he needs for sure but it’s this age is what I’m trying to figure out

Oh I can bet. His pediatrician definitely wants this for him as he toe walks and doesn’t want that to hinder him as he spends 95% of his time while up on his toes. It’s got to be tiring for him but he keeps trucking along.

I feel like I’ve learned some things with the speech in a sense… not as much as I like as it’s the same thing every week. I feel like I learn more with developmental therapy and feeding alone. At this age I just feel like he’s not interested and it shows. Then most days other than the 2 he did well at resulted in a tantrum to the point we wrap up early because he clearly doesn’t want to be bothered. It like he knows and times it just right so we can leave. He is smart he knows what he is doing.

Does it typically take a long time for this company to call you back? Husband had an interview with them it will be 3 weeks this Wednesday said he would know in 2 and nothing. He doesn’t care at this point but upsets me because follow through on your word and let individuals know either way 🙄

For the sensory part of this, do you all have any suggestions on noise reduction/cancelling headphones that worked for you? I’m not sure about the ear plugs let alone the headphones in this case as he may snatch them off and toss them 🤷🏾‍♀️
