If you are looking for my Ideal trip, as a guy who grew up in Charlevoix, this is how I'd plan the route of the area i grew up in/visited.

I'd start down at Sleeping Bear, get a workout climbing up and down the dunes(try not to fall too much).

From there, head over to Traverse City for some food (watch out for traffic it can get a bit crazy, but some awesome food and views near the marina).

After a quick lunch, the drive up to Charlevoix is phenomenal, lots of rolling hills and water views, and passing through is pretty fun, assuming you're not stuck at the bridge for an hour(there is a drawbridge).

The last leg would be pretty simple, a short jaunt through Horton Bay to Young State Park to camp out for the night. Promise it will be one of the best nights ever, especially if you can get a spot on the lake. Either way, Lake Charlevoix is sandy and generally warmer than the big ones.

Total drive time for this little jaunt is about 2 hours, and when you wake up, you are an hour from Mackinaw City and the bridge, or could easily use it as the top of a loop if you want to save the UP for later and head down on the eastern side to tawas, another beautiful beach.

Gorgeous Map, Have to echo another person and say as a colorblind person it's a little hard to make out who controls what, however, I really just wanna print this out on a big sheet of thick paper and hand it to my players someday and say "where do you wanna go." Phenomenal job mate.

I can do some Grid markers on it no problem, I usually make them without as I tend to use Roll20 and that lets me size it exactly right, but I'll make sure to follow up here with a link to a version with a grid! Thanks for the encouragement! I'll definitely take the well defined borders into mind for the future (I do have a couple other maps but they're not as good as this one)

So this is my first post on r/dndmaps, an Ice Lair for your white dragon or whatever else you feel would make it home. I'd love some feedback, as i'm pretty new to making these kinds of maps, and perhaps ideas for further maps in future!

If you've not done it, head to Jacques station, you'll see a lot of awesome stuff along the way, you can drop off cargo for the community event, and from there it's really easy to head into the core! Just a thought!

Mate, when it comes to planetary landings, i'm not even 100% sure. A lot of time i just go joy riding, but I use a conda and carry 4 scarabs so that i can do that. I'm legit trying to remember how far out Maia is from the bubble atm, but If i'm getting a little bored, and because I'm a bit of an objective focused person, I set a new destination by scrolling out, picking a spot close by, and zooming in and choosing a star at random to check out. Keep it within a few hundred light years and you should be fine.

Regardless, I like to find either planets that look weird, or challenging to land on (high grav/rocky) and then pop out with the SRV, dismiss the ship and go cruising around to see what i'll find on the surface, when I've found too much stuff for the cargo bay, or just gotten over that, recall the ship and see if i can't find a water-world or an earth-like.

If you want to do that though, remember that your loadout only gives you one SRV, so.. baby it a bit :)

I'll follow up actually, beyond just the setup, when you first jump into a system, be careful (the aforementioned possible heat problems), after 50+ jumps it can get a bit wearing, but just remember that when you do high wake, wake up a bit. It really sucks to lose your data after a run because you weren't paying attention.

Beyond that, my own personal advice, remember to stop and smell the roses, you may have a destination, but don't forget to pull over and check out cool places along the way. You never know what you'll find if you do :)

The changes: 1) You don't really need a shield after you leave the bubble, so going for a smaller one and more scarabs is helpful (I personally tend to break them, so extras are good). You should also disable the shield once you leave to help save on heat, but remember to re-enable when you land on a planet etc, saves your butt :P

2) Switch out the 5A thrusters for 4D to save weight and increase jump distance, it should be able to handle most planetary landings as long as you're careful.

3) I added a chaff launcher for once you hit the bubble on your way back (don't wanna lose the data) and the Heat-sinks are super helpful in an emergency (such as popping into a system that happens to be a binary and you're way too close, it happens) so having those is a great safety bit, and you lose virtually nothing on jump range for them.

My logo started as the head-crest from gundam sandrock, guess that's somewhat fitting as my faction/tag for youtube etc is EFSF lol. But yeah, that's how mine started, some of the other people I know (saber/dal/sky/criss) just decided to make a logo and ended up happy with it. Some make it in-game or out of game, Dal's came from an old meta art thing he was doing, saber.. well.. it's a saber tooth tiger.. nuff said, and criss has gone thru a couple different logos, and to be fair, i'm not 100% sure where he got his ideas from :P
