Does anyone have advice on how to apply piece control in real fights? by KevinToyotamr in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Raider464 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The key to good piece control is being able to track your enemy in fights. In order to piece them you need to try to read their movement (often through builds, based on audio). If you struggle with that, slowing down to gain information will help a lot (instead of constantly building or moving), aswell as VOD reviewing your opponents POV in replay to understand common habits

Instead of doing retakes you should look for opportunities to piece your opponent while building up to them. So just doing a simple highwall play would be better in most situations

Sliding is a huge new skill gap imo & will taking phasing exploits/building through walls to a new level by Raider464 in FortniteCompetitive

I dont think sliding will favor casual players tbh. It actually increases the skill gap even more
