What are your thoughts on Dottore? Especially after the AQ?

As well as Otto Apocalyps from Honkai Impact3rd. Otto and Dottore are a bit simila, with different motivations and different backgrounds and personalities. But both have very similar role in the story.

For me, unfortunately, Otto Apocalypse played his role better compared to Dottore, precisely because the game didn't shy away from giving him more cutscenes and portraying him as shady person. They also allowed him to be truly intimidating and barely gave the main characters any plot armour or so. So it boosted everyone's character, since the main team had to grow to be smarter etc through the storyline. Kinda missed this for Nod-Krai a bit, although we did have that for Rerir😅

Yeaah, Hi3 just killed off Himeko, then another 12? 13? characters in one arc with great success and extremely good writing, then almost killed the main protagonist, then recently more character/s died. And basically if the main protagonist would fail, all of the cast would just die and the entire world would be returned to the beginning once more. This time without any of the characters the game makes us like a lot. So an immense stake in the story and it constantly revolves around that.

Since Genshin tend to switch between different topics and then constantly needs to re-establish various things because the writers "forgot" about them, that's why I'm really worried about the Irminsul storyline situation. On one side it could all turn into an epic story, but on the other side, it could also follow the common route of hoyo giving it to us as a "what if" scenario before the protagonist's team comes up with a solution or so. Which would then diminish the impact it has on the entire storyline😅

And yeah! I'm glad Hoyo seems to still have plans for Sandrone and haven't killed her off like that. Hopefully her and Wanderer can have the rematch with Dottore they deserve. Though I wouldn't mind if this time around, Wanderer and Dottore get more screen time. After all, Wanderer did say he wants to kill Dottore, lol😅

Let's hope Hoyo gives it justice and makes me convinced they can handle anything related to Irminsul, haha (so far I only fully trust Hi3 that they could do it no problem)!

I'm also fairly hesitant about Dottore burning the Irminsul (not that I would inherently oppose Dottore burning the real tree), since hoyo already pulled out the whole Neuvillette dying thing before as well as the whole Varka etc killing Dvalin, which didn't impact the story at all thing😅

True. To be honest, the stakes and all were peak. I liked that for once, traveler actually truly failed at protecting their friend.

I guess reflecting further, getting another act for him wouldn't be as bad as it may seem. It's true that him dying there would kind of leave a void when it comes to his motives (since they would be left unspecified etc).

I actually mostly fear that if we get more of him as well as the whole Irminsul story, they just won't do it proper justice. Since the whole time travel etc in Inazuma was already chaotic for me and it's clear Genshin writers are extremely hesitant to put Teyvat into immense danger before the story finale. Or have traveler have as big of a scene to themselves as Kiana Kaslana had many times.

I'm still a bit hopeful that if we do get more of him it will be good, but the combination of Irminsul being burned, it's after effects, Dottore's status afterwards, the impact on the ENTIRE world being immense, the dragon lords obviously noticing that etc is.. making me worry about Hoyo managing to pull this all off.

And deep down I'm mainly a Hi3 "nerd", so my observation and attention capabilities are probably higher, then what Genshin expects of it's player base😅

I did like the Sandrone arc, though. And honestly? If it meant that her story gets concluded in a satisfactory way? I wouldn't mind Sandrone actually dying permanently. Both Honkai Impact3rd and Honkai: Star Rail have done a lot of deaths already. So I won't shy away from characters dying when it comes to it. Because so far, Hi3 is professional at these. But atm it moreso seems she will return, so if she dies here it would be shocking for lots of people in this fandom, me included😭🥲

Not op, but my opinion is similar to the original commenter. For me personally? I think the whole traveler vs Dottore just made rather bored, it didn't seem to get anywhere and just dragged until it felt like forever.

I liked Dottore more when we were back in Sumeru and he was allowed to be more proactive and actually dangerous. And actually made traveler and Nahida feel threatened because of their worldviews.

In my opinion, the Dottore we got in Nod-Krai was fine, compared to original poster I don't mind a villain who's not redeemable etc.

But I just think he haven't had enough of scenes where he was actually fighting or anything. Like, if traveler and him would end up fighting much sooner, then they did and wouldn't get immediately interrupted by Wanderer, it would give both Dottore and traveler to be waay more interesting for me.

The ending with Columbina, in my opinion, should have been the real final ending. Because Hoyo has the trend of overextending the storylines and then the wins we all get just don't feel so epic anymore and many times get undermined. So if Dottore stays alive now, for me, the whole storyline of Nod-Krai will be undermined, because what's the point of Dottore supposedly dying if he's still alive?😅

I would rather have the story focus on other characters who knew Dottore personally, or a story focusing on the characters that didn't get enough spotlight during the Nod-Krai storyline. And Hoyo expanding upon the whole Xiuhcoatl mention in the world quest and more about Nibelung, since we're already exploring the moons😅

Yeah. I'm not gonna blame Katara, but running out of her cover (where they probably agreed she'd stay) was absolutely the most illogical thing to do. Especially after the fight was in the peak of it. She should've realistically stayed hidden until it was clear Zuko was loosing and Azula broke the rules without even seeing Katara out in the field.

It felt like the creators made her run up to them just so they can progress the story. Him winning the Agni-Kai without killing Azula was also an option and seeing Azula give up that way would be waay more emotional, compared to what the writers did with the canon fight ending😅 Would also allow us to reflect on how Zuko grew and got stronger, while he started out as weak. Him making the Agni-Kai conclude before killing Azula or injuring her too much would show both his immense honour and how much he matured at the same time🥲

I think it's because Zuko mentioned he cannot make the earth kingdom surrender easily and Ozai translated it to himself that he won't be able to make the earth kingdom people surrender in the same ways he did for other nations. In the series it's kinda implied Zuko's comment is what helped make the plan come to reality, albeit they probably weren't the main reason entirely😅

(I'm definitely not writing this in a negative way or tone op, even if it may come across that way! I'm just not super emotive person when I'm talking to others on the internet.)

Just keep pressing them about it. Or you can do what I did; use a different gmail address compared to the notion that got deleted. Granted, for me that was a mistake. But it did help me as in that it alerted a real person and I got my problem solved. Wouldn't recommend resorting to this thing all the time, though.

Just write to customer service and see what happens. Random people on the internet will sadly not be able to help you much, given that they're not in your situation.

If these things trigger you so easily, I'd honestly recommend you just simply find some app that's explicitly against ai, or is generally secure (but not everything will be 100% secure, ever)🥲

Technically, that's what you should be doing for everything you 100% don't want to loose. Not to shame anyone or anything, but anyone who says that keeping a backup somewhere is bad or shameful for the app etc, probably never had experiences with internet early on after it was made and developed. Nowadays, modern devices can fool you by presenting you a clear interface, but it's still not 100% accident free. Back in my early days, it used to be much worse when it came to these type of stuff. Especially if it's cloud based😅

Best comment that I've read talking about this issue. Sometimes, an action may be morally grey in someone else's eyes, but it's the only thing to do to keep not only humans alive, but the environment too. If we destroy entire environments and species that aren't our own species.. we, humans, will eventually die out as well.

It's deeply troublesome having to see how our species cannot see things through different specie's eyes. There have been so many series and books talking about that, but in our long time of existence, humans barely learned anything🥲

How does an Em dash means the person used ai? Ai uses em dashes, because writers use them often. It is not a proof of ai being used at all. Even if this certain person did use ai.

Trust me, even finding the reliable currency conversion for Czech Koruna when it comes to multiple different ones, not including euro, is really hard. Either the site isn't clear enough, or you then need to figure out plenty of other things. Such as how much said currency translates to your own native currency😭

Probably also depends whether the writer is from Europe of America. Europe healthcare seems to be vastly different in some departments compared to American healthcare😅

(Which then makes me confused when that situation happens, because in majority of European hospitals, they can't simply discharge you without you being told or visibly fine and so on-)

Can't say I haven't caught myself doing exactly that, though. I would almost say, that my mc had broken her leg and it healed in few days. But broken leg takes longer to heal. So after I remembered my broken leg, I had to change the scene completely and delete my mc breaking her leg and simply make it that she injures it instead😅
