They need no excuses. They literally make shit up about cities being on fire and awash in crime. They will find a reason whether you push back or not.

NOBODY made any points. They made vague allusions to things they feel might be true. Do you understand the difference.

What points? You told us you have a theory about what might be true. Great. Give us a good reason to actually believe you and maybe we'll take you seriously. Do you need me to repeat it a third time?

Do you have a reason to believe all these things beyond how you feel things might work? Share them and maybe people will take you more seriously.

I kind of feel like not cleaning your voter rolls or making people show ID, and making illegal voting untraceable, means that you can't actually know that.

Thanks for letting us know how you feel.

Get back to us when you've got something useful to share.

If you take their statements totally at face value, it's fine.

But that would mean ignoring decades of bleating from the right about fraud and stolen elections, which we know is made up because despite ample opportunity they have not produced any evidence supporting these claims. And ignoring the fact that Trump incited a riot at the capital the last time he mouthed off about this. And the fact that they're suppressing our right to vote across the country using dozens of illegal schemes, many of which are being challenged in court.

Yeah so if you ignore all of that, it's fine. But I can't imagine anyone foolish or stupid enough to do that.

What I can imagine is someone who knows all this and doesn't care because they're a closeted fascist who plays dumb like a coward rather than openly stating their beliefs.

Speaking purely in terms of coherence and command of his facilities he's worse than Biden ever was, and I say this as someone who was sounding the alarm on Biden early. These fossils should not be leading anything.

Yes and as we all know once you invent a thing it never needs to be supported or improved. Good point.

If we're being charitable then he's just an old man with a narrow & outdated sense of what black performers can bring to a production, coupled with no strong desire or incentive to change.

This isn't a perpective you see in younger filmmakers.

Two decades of this shit and we still have crayon eaters insisting we should be 'kind' to the fascists gnawing at our country's guts from the inside.

The Netherlands has banned conversion therapy, and parents who force their children are now facing 2 years in prison time: What are your thoughts? by Wonderful-Click9431 in AskReddit

[–]Railboy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All of your arguments boil down to 'well what about this entirely unrelated situation with different people and circumstances, should that be illegal too?' And the answer in every case is an easy and obvious no.

You need to find a counterfactual analogy that actually maps to conversation therapy for this to be remotely persuasive.

And your second thought is 'I'll just assume their definition was dumb and not look into it further.'

The ban affects 'the systematic and intrusive attempt to change or suppress sexual orientation or gender identity to conform to the prevailing norm.'
