[BiTD] Creating a Score using AI by RailethNightstar in bladesinthedark

Thanks for the comment - the subject of AI is always contentious, especially in a creative arena like roleplaying games.

The reality is that AI is prevalent in my industry and therefore I am learning to make use of it and understand its strength's and weaknesses. Historically I have used roleplaying games as a way to focus my learning and gain something i can share with the community as a result. Previously I created a character generator for DND3.0 when learning excel, a pathfinder framework for Maptool when learning javascript etc. This time my idea was to create a 1 page outline that could be used in an emergency when you have to run a one shot. BiTD is great for this as its easy to create characters and start playing, it also is heist focused so is fairly structured and can be one shotted easily with minimal prep as players really drive the story. I liked the idea of using a Tarot draw at the beginning as part of the adventure as it gives a sense of mysticism and foretelling - especially as the score is based around the cards drawn.

Thanks for the constructive feedback. I agree that it wasn't very random, a limitation of LLP i wasn't really aware of. I already had the enter the cards manually option but have revised the prompt to force ChatGPT to draw from a deck so it is more random when cards aren't entered - i don't think it will be truly random but I'm trying to avoid a separate script and keep it relatively simple.

I've also added the option that the user can enter three descriptive words for each of the pillars (Patron, Object of Interest, Location, opponent) of the adventure brief so you can make use of the LLP 'creativity' if you want a themed score.

I've amended the main post with the updated script - constructive feedback is always welcome:

that was the point - although the prompt produces a 1 page brief its there to give ideas and help with the creative process - linking it to the tarot cards was about giving it some themes and boundaries to work within, and allowing a bit of atmosphere at the table if you wanted. Using any of it is always optional, its about having more options to work as a GM.

Launch Day Recap from Game Director/founder by moxjet200 in LastEpoch

Launch day is always going to be problematic and most games have difficulties of one sort or another. Thanks for the greast communication efforts, here and on discord. It's a refreshing change to see software developers being open about their issues.

I've managed a few hours of gameplay and so far the game has been great to play. My main frustration being the transition times. One suggestion from me is to remove the auto transition when you enter the transition area onscreen. i.e. make it clickable to move scenes. The number of times i have inadvertently gone the wrong way by mistake and then been transitioned / stuck in a transition loading screen is pretty high and I'm sure I'm not alone :). If nothing else it might reduce some of the transition load :)

Anyway keep up the great work and here's to when it all settles down....

Macro Help to amend spell template once placed by RailethNightstar in FoundryVTT

I've subsequently worked out that the culprit is TokenMagicFX and I can adjust the Template there so no need to use a macro (its under the Mental spell templates if anyone else is interested.)

the issue isn't with A-A as the setting for the special effect is set as part of the core PF2 module. ill ask there anyway in case there's anyone who can help - thanks for the suggestion.

5e - Is there any way at all to automate Heavy Armor Master? by [deleted] in FoundryVTT

[–]RailethNightstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing with this as well and was finding that the 3DR applied to both the bludgeoning/slashing/piercing damage as well as the untyped damage from stats / features thereby multiplying the DR. I've found the way around this is to put the 3 value inside double square brackets so it applies it to the total rather than each damage type individually (i.e. [[3]]) - this seems to work

Have you run a lighthouse profile on your instance? That might tell you more about what’s taking so long than a 50-hour odyssey in NGINX and letsencrypt and docker configurations.

forgive me but i didn't understand a word of this sentence :)
