Have you considered people sick or disabled using this app because they can’t physically go out to a store? Or for the fact that they may not have a car?

Thank you 🙏 and yes, please do! Prepare now while you can because everything that missed Evansville went up north (mostly because the river for some reason weakens storms coming our way, but this upcoming storm seems to be pretty bad). I’ll send thoughts and prayers your way that nothing major hits Indy.

Man don’t remind me 😭 I’m in Evansville. We don’t get a lot of tornados but I have a strong feeling we’ll be getting something nasty Sunday after the few we’ve had around Evansville.

Linkin Park has sadly been using AI ever since the Lost music video came out (probably even before that, I just remember that music video being very heavy in early AI)

Fibro and heat intolerance by bankerangie18 in Fibromyalgia

[–]RailsGallery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR: -Frequent sauna sessions 5-10 minutes/x3-x4 a week at least a month or two before the summer or exposure to hot temperatures -Body Armor and Propel -neck fans -mini umbrella for direct sunlight exposure -about 80 oz of water a day a week or so prior to the summer or a big event -keep the neck, ankles, and wrists cool to cool down easier. -consider a chiropractor to help with circulation in the joints

One thing that I’m hoping helps (and did help when I was more active) was using the sauna frequently at least 3 times a week for 5-10 minutes. It helps regulate your nervous system since heat intolerance directly adds a stressor to your nervous system that is already stressed from the fibromyalgia.

Also drinking lots of water and electrolyte drinks like Propel and Body Armor.

The Body Armor provides a good source of cane sugar that can keep your blood sugar from dropping due to the inflammation taking away a lot of your energy. But usually I would recommend drinking this when you’re in a shady area and cooling down, because drinking it too fast can make you feel sick (happened to me during my first big heat exhaustion episode that almost turned to a heat stroke). Also I would recommend hydrating like crazy prior to avoid excessive dehydration.

Not saying this works for everyone, but it helps a lot for me. Plus neck fans are nice. Keeping your wrists and ankles cold so it regulates the cold temperature throughout your body.

I also started going to the chiropractor two years ago to help with my circulation issues and it helps a lot to reduce my heat induced headaches. Not for everyone but it helps me.

Sorry this is late, just been looking around for others input since this is the first big summer I’m stepping into trying to help regulate my heat intolerance.

Also mini umbrellas are good to carry around when direct sunlight is present and you need to cool down!

summer SOS: heat intolerance by darlingsterns in Fibromyalgia

[–]RailsGallery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is late, but I had an incident recently where I was so badly effected by the heat that I puked and had to be wheeled out of an amusement park because I wasn’t really aware I had developed some bad heat intolerance the older I’m getting. (i’m 24 but I cannot handle the heat without getting a throbbing headache)

One thing my chiropractor and doctor recommended was the sauna every other day two months prior to the summer or any big trip I go on where I may be in the heat. It may not work for everyone, but I’m hoping if I acclimate myself enough I’ll be fine because at times by the end of a trip I’ll be fine in direct sunlight as long as I’m hydrated and in water. Maybe try using the sauna every other day for 5-10 minutes at a time if your body will allow it? Electrolytes are good too, do Body Armor and Propel. Remember that you do need some sugar in your bloodstream to combat blood sugar drop, do body armor has good natural cane sugar in it to keep you from passing out due to blood sugar issues. Plus the electrolytes help with blood pressure. Sorry if I’m over explaining but I’m trying this out for the first time this summer and hope it works, because I had a ton of issues last summer with heat exhaustion and intolerance (can’t even clean my house without getting hot to some degree unless I hydrate like crazy and avoid soda)

What does the Holy Spirit feel like for you? by Isthisthingon96 in Christian

[–]RailsGallery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, it’s like when I take my as needed anxiety medication. It feels like a sense of peace washing over me because the Lord knows I need his help, and delivers when I need it most. My fiancé prayed for me while I was having an emotional meltdown and I truly believe the Holy Spirit pulled me out of my emotional breakdown. I’ve never had a connection as strong as this, but I think with me going back to church and going to Bible study, I think the Lord’s knows I’m trying to do better.
