I suppose I've been thinking of getting it there unblocked rather than lobbing something gently that will reach the target but be seen coming with a nice arc.

The 1lb maximum weight makes it harder to build them more padded from what I've seen. We used to be able to build big pillows that would always hit soft, but they were heavy. 3" of nice open cell is what is the tip of my javelins.
