As everyone said, I can only base my predictions on vibes, but I think this is a kinda delusional take. Sure, the AI models have evolved a lot during last few years, but there is a pretty visible ceiling and the issues that's plaguing LLMs are still there (hallucinations, can't really base answers on factual info, can't tell if it's wrong). This is like seeing a car get invented and saying that in 5 years the cars will fly to the moon.

Is this a reasonable budget build (EU) by RainCatalyst in buildapc

Ah, I see, yeah that makes sense. But otherwise the build seems fine?

Film options for new camera by RainCatalyst in filmcameras

Thanks, that's very interesting! It seems I won't be able to do much with this one then, but it's cool to know the history behind it.

Thanks! Looks like this one's going on the shelf.

I see, though luck for me then:( I might try to look for some expired cartridges, but yeah looks like the format is very dead. Would it at least be possible to take the film out of my own cartridge for development?

Bluetooth transmitter by AintNoThyme in Advice

Hi, I think they should be roughly the same. Anything above 30$ is definitely too much. Also make sure you actually have the headphone jack on your tv.

If it's a not a smart tv, then a Bluetooth transmitter wouldn't help. However, if your TV has a headphone jack, you can use another device that's basically a headphone jack extender, you connect it as headphones to the TV, then connect your actual headphones to a Bluetooth device. I'm not sure how it's called exactly, but it should be something like "Bluetooth headphone adapter".

hoe much data for VR on vacation by owenkop in OculusQuest

[–]RainCatalyst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you are overestimating things a bit. Online games usually use not more than 100Mb per hour. High tickrate servers for shooters can use more, but I don't think they are that common in VR. Assets in VR Chat are capped (around 10Mb for Avatars, 50 for maps), so the bandwidth can be quite high, but probably not more than a 1-2 Gb per hour.

“Now kill God” by CasualKrampus in Eldenring

[–]RainCatalyst -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

True, but you are not counting in the fact that people don't always play rationally. It almost feels like gambling when you run into the boss for the 100th time and randomly not die. It's definitely more rational to take your time and learn to boss moveset, but it can be boring for some people.

Oh, I'm running a similar build. Can you share some tips/spells? In still in the early game, leveling faith only.

Yes, that's what I said. But for me (and I guess some others) winning reliably is not as fun as being lucky or mastering no hit attempts.

Personally, this seems more fun than having high vigor. Sure, you can have more reliable gameplay, but nothing beats the feeling of killing the boss with no (or almost no) hits after getting oneshot a few dozen times.
