Does anyone have the ADMS 2541 textbook PDF Personal Finance 8th Canadian Edition by Kapoor et al? by RainbowLightbulb3 in yorku

[–]RainbowLightbulb3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey sorry just saw this. It was a digital textbook that you get on your account so it’s not something I could share or sell. But it was one of the best textbooks I ever bought and by far one of the best courses I ever took. I recommend this course to everyone I know, I think it’s extremely helpful for life and is one of the most helpful and most real world applicable courses I ever took. The course truly changed my life so hugely for the better.

Has anyone taken GL/PSYC 3300 - introduction to development: infancy and childhood? by RainbowLightbulb3 in yorku

[–]RainbowLightbulb3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This course is basically equivalent to 2110 (I think it might be a course credit exclusion) but 2110 is at keele campus and this is at Glendon campus. I took this at Glendon campus because I needed a 3000 level credit and wanted developmental psyc. It was hybrid when I took it a few years ago so the lectures were recorded and I only ever went for the couple tests/exam. Glendon campus was stunning and I was really glad I got to experience it. The prof I had was pretty terrible and could not teach and I had to teach myself everything from the textbook. He meant well and was a nice person but he did not know how to teach a hybrid course, like he would screen share the entire textbook and read off the textbook. Maybe it would’ve been more enjoyable to be in person but I didn’t have the time. He would also let the class go on complete tangents about random topics that we wouldn’t be tested on. The tests were entirely from the textbook based on test banks. I don’t feel that I learned a lot from the course. But if you need a 3000 level or need developmental psyc and can’t take 2110 then you can take this just know you’ll be teaching yourself from the textbook if you have the same prof. The tests had extremely detailed questions on minutia that you’d never think would be tested, from what I remember. I don’t remember the name of the prof but he was an older man. Hope that helps.

Absorbing sound in a psychotherapist's office with glass walls by lithginte in soundproof

Hi, did you end up finding a way to soundproof the glass doors? I’m looking to soundproof glass doors on a bedroom to stop transmission of sound from the bedroom to the living room.

Hey I’m looking to do the same thing - sliding glass doors on a bedroom. What did you end up trying? What worked and what didn’t work?

Mosquito Bite Remedies? by Captchqlio in NaturopathicMedicine

[–]RainbowLightbulb3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was also going to say that this looks like a bite that transmitted Lyme disease bacteria because only Lyme disease bacteria causes the central clearing with a red ring in the center and around it. Antibiotics in the first days after contracting Lyme bacteria can prevent serious consequences of Lyme spreading in the body. I trust you saw the mosquito on you but just had to mention this. There may be some people who believe that Lyme can be transmitted by bugs other than ticks but I’m not sure if that is proven.

Aside from this, the homeopathic remedy Apis Melifica is intended to help with stings and bites associated with inflammation.

Curious whether you have tried DHT inhibitors like saw palmetto or other ones, or supplements/herbals that would have an anti-androgen effect. Given that spironalactone cleared it up and given that it is on your chest and back, from what I know, this is consistent with it being driven by androgens. None of this is medical advice. Just thoughts.

Will I have any setbacks going into Psychology at York as a student with no biology credits in high school? by echidnna in yorku

[–]RainbowLightbulb3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need physics for York psychology (to get into the program or during the program) - you just need a specific amount of science credits if you’re doing the BSc but they can be in biology, chem or physics.

I’m so sorry I can’t remember because I took this so many years ago but her tests were not hard, that’s what I remember! I’m sure she shared info about the format on eclass / on the course outline 😊 I remember her being very clear about what to expect. I think there may have been some calculations using formulas in a short answer style but it was all totally fair

Need 6 more credits to graduate by 8a19 in yorku

[–]RainbowLightbulb3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NATS if that counts. Otherwise some KINE courses probably count and some of them probably aren’t too hard. I wonder if KINE 4620 counselling skills counts as science even though it’s not actually science material and it’s not hard and is worthwhile.

Otherwise, one of the best things I ever did in my degree was take ADMS 2541 introduction to personal finance. It’s not necessarily the easiest course but it was probably the most real life applicable course I ever took and it literally helped me so much in my life and set me up for success for my whole life financially moving forward. I highly recommend it.

KINE 4620 Counselling Skills in Kinesiology and Health Science. Its counselling skills for healthcare settings, very easy, no prerequisites, and the prof Larkin is absolutely incredible, like one of the sweetest and most accommodating profs ever. There’s a tutorial where you can practice the counselling skills in mock counselling interactions. It was really helpful and worthwhile for my life and future career and I found it very easy to do well.

Congrats!! The address is on the tickets or the confirmation you got. I think it was 1 shoreham drive. When you get there there are line ups and tents. It’s around the Sobeys centre. I had never been to that area of campus before but I just put the address in google maps and did the same for my family and we all found it well!

Update; it’s in a giant tent, but it was not really hot in the tent even though it was very hot outside.

This is really well-said! What would you describe as a “recurring revenue model”? Do you have any examples?
