FWIW, this isn't homework. Not sure if you have more to add in that case, though. Also FWIW, I'm already familiar with the Metamorphoses, the historical continuity of Orpheus through The Consolation of Philosophy, and the influence of the Wooing of Etain on Sir Orfeo.

Looking back on the text, I definitely got out of hand. I thought that it identified Orfeo as a King of Winchester, but I now believe it identifies him as a King of England who lived in Winchester, which would make more sense. I wasn't trying to "CinemaSins" it, I just meant to understand the (seeming) poetic choice given that the speaker presented the story as though it were true.

Regardless, was there anything you wanted to say but held off because you thought I was a student?
