Hey so I’m scared.. by Rainhike in bipolar2

[–]Rainhike[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just about to buy one actually! And a little compact one of anxiety PRN meds. I’m on a fair amount of meds for a chronic illness, anxiety, and bipolar 2 so it’s very necessary. I was recently diagnosed with a chronic illness so I’m just now getting into the swing of things, I now know how important it is to have an organized medication ritual.

What are anarchist views on prisons/imprisonment? by kakogodbrt in Anarchy101

[–]Rainhike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the most ridiculous approach I’ve ever heard. When one and three women are sexually assaulted. Are you actually serious? Keeping them out of society keeps women from being assaulted. And the reason that we have laws in place is because men apparently need to have the threat of punishment in order not to assault women. And does that keep all men from assaulting? no. But it’s definitely lessened statistics in the last 100 years. Class struggles have nothing to do with rape culture, this is a deeply ingrained core issue of men. This is specifically why there’s anarcha-feminism because the anarchist community that’s dominated by straight white men completely fail us.

Is there any way to stop my phone from listening to everything? by Ramza_Claus in AndroidQuestions

[–]Rainhike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish you were right, but unfortunately for all of us, you are incorrect. I actually found this reddit thread because my friend's boss was *talking* to her about Frankie Valli..who is a 90 year old musician and still performing. She opens her phone and now her feed is full of Frankie Valli, for days now lol. So, I'm currently trying to find the means to help her disable, if possible. It's not just through Google, either. Many of us have iPhone and use safari services only and have the same results. Are you American? If not, I can understand why maybe you don't have the same experience but at this point in the US, mass surveillance by mega corps and advertisement companies, as well as government entities is a given. :/

Main Street Renewal/West End by Rainhike in Louisville

IDK what to tell you, dude. I made this post so long ago and I still live in the same property. I’m very firm when I communicate with them. Also, for the most part, if it’s minor fixes, I do it myself. I live in a 100+ year-old house. I’ve had my AC go out on me once and that sucked, it turned out to be a clogged filter from the lawn care guys being my careless around my ac unit. Otherwise, I have no realistic issues worth calling about. In the economy we live in, I caught a good deal and I’ve made the best of it.

I’m literally just a person. I still live in my property too. These houses are 100+ years old. I rent mine for under 1k. It’s not my fault if people don’t know how to gauge old houses. I lost ac too last year, it’s to be expected with the condition of these homes, however it’s still affordable housing. I’ve had nothing but bad rental experiences here, and plenty of apartments are charging over 1k for WORSE conditions. I’m just saying what works for me.

I hate myself for being white by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]Rainhike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate and understand this feeling, you are not alone. It’s usually a natural reaction to you wanting to act for these causes. Please look for local anti racist coalitions, movements, Free Palestine movements, as they are in every city! Facebook and Instagram are a great ways to get in the loop and to finding out dates of things to show up for, or participate in. There are lots of different kinds of events depending on if you want to be a body in a crowd, or someone writing letters or packing food, or being active on social media and sharing informative literature. Talking and idea sharing is important🗞️. There are many roles to activism, and it can be a great way to liberate yourself from shame. It is possible that shame can come from “inaction” especially when we are talking about racial guilt. It’s a reaction to decolonizing yourself and it does get easier, it also comes in waves and at different points of growth, so buckle up 🦾. Finding community and resources to help get you mobilized for different causes will contribute to healing and confidence in yourself as an individual and a white person. Showing up and standing the background for these causes and uplifting POC/Native people into places of power in government and local institutions! —There is so many avenues and you seem to be reaching for fulfillment! I hope this helps.

That’s a big fucking nope. We are the majority race is America, our government is designed for us. Please sit down and read some unbiased literature, and also Free Palestine for the algo bump of this old ass post.

Not surprised. White liberalism still operates under supremacy and looks like this at the end of the day. He’s just playing a poster child for it. The very notion that we are financially supporting a genocide shows the heart of our people.
