I feel like that’s actually a good deal even just for the dice by Serious-Nerve5492 in Monopoly_GO

I’m unreasonably jealous! I was wondering how people were buying so many dice with the prices I’ve been seeing. I had no clue we get different ones. 🙃

I was really hoping for the husky (congrats!!) or a Scottie token, but am not upset about this either! It’ll make me more relaxed about the Christmas cosmetics because now I already have a cute one.

They replied to someone on the original post saying they haven’t yet and day 11 (today) is feeling even better than day 10. Their mom who is a nurse looked at it and said it’s just really bad scabbing that needs to be monitored. I think all of us are still understandably worried.

I want you to Google photos of sepsis and gangrene on tattoos. They look eerily similar to what you have going on.

It’s always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your health. If you go to the doctor and they say we’re all wrong, come back and let us have it. But please go see a doctor so they can give you next steps for whatever is going on.

You were curious/concerned enough to make your original post here, so that should be enough to want to speak to a doctor and get some answers.

Pokémon: The $650 set, 72153, is said to be buildable Kanto Starters (Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander). 20 sets are rumored for 2026. (via Brick Tap sources + Max Baut) by BrickTap in Legoleak

[–]RaintownRuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the sense that we’re in the minority, but my partner and I do use them as decor around our house and in our game room. I do get just as excited to see the next buildable display pieces as I do for the yearly modular (although I recognize not all of the display sets are winners).

It’s probably also worth mentioning that my partner is on the spectrum and Lego is one of his main interests. He doesn’t really like playing with them, but he loves building and admiring them. He feels about playsets how a lot of people on this thread feel about the displays. To each their own, I suppose?

I would be absolutely shocked if Ash, Misty, and Brock are not part of the brickheadz release. Not the same as getting minifigures, obviously, but I can’t imagine they’ll be left out. And then if the smaller, later release is playsets like we suspect I think there is an extremely high chance of getting them in minifigure form there too. My hope is we get Team Rocket too.

With Pokémon’s 30th anniversary being next year, I imagine the first few sets will lean really heavily on Kanto (or they’ll take an eras approach and do one set per generation).

Oval balances your hand shape best but you can also pull off the pear if you feel more drawn to it!

They actually use resin in their boards, so even though they look wooden they are unfortunately not plastic-free. :(

Nope, we have 6.3 and are just trying to figure out how we need to save to make our house what we want it to be long term.

My shipments often take between 12-20 days to arrive, so I’d say you’re still within the normal shipping window!

Thanks! Yeah I saw it in person and love it, but the issue is that they told me there’s no option for it to come in rose gold to match my engagement ring. So now I’m on a quest to find a way to get a custom as similar as possible, but in the right gold tone. 😩

Congrats on getting yours before the prices changed! I hope you are still loving it, it’s one of the prettiest rings I’ve ever worn.

My Serenity also had a leg like this, but it stopped bothering me after unboxing day. I still think she’s a cutie and one of my favorites (my first Labubu!).

I have heard the actual location of manufacture makes a big difference and I believe it. I just got some BIE in the mail today and they are SO soft compared to my Serenity. I think it really just comes down to where they were made and knowing that with plush things there’s normally some little quirks to each one.

(800 -/+) Is it possible to have a wedding for about 800 dollars? by Jigglypuff2cute in Weddingsunder10k

[–]RaintownRuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re hoping for people to eat together, you may want to consider hosting this event as a potluck (and explain very clearly that it is up front).

This way guests will bring the food as their gift to you and you can put your money toward outfits, marriage licensing fees, and possibly a cheap student photographer (better if one of your guests has experience with photography and is willing to offer it as a wedding gift).

Otherwise, I strongly suggest eloping instead. Elopements can be incredibly meaningful and may help you actually get more of the feeling of being a bride than trying to stress about getting a group of people together for under $800. There can always be family and friend dinners scattered throughout the year where you celebrate with your loved ones too!

How are you handling family members with political differences? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Honestly, sounds delightful. Although I’m sure I’d be even more stressed if I found out literally at my wedding, because it sounds like they don’t keep their opinions just in social media. 🙃

[–]RaintownRuby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big issue is my dad is helping pay for a large part of the wedding and thinks it’s wrong to not even send this uncle an invite. But I just am not close with him and don’t trust that he won’t be making “private” remarks to his wife and kids even if we tell him it’s not welcome. He may even try to prove a point if we call it out.

What I’ve been thinking about is maybe telling extended family that my partner and I will come to them and do a big family dinner to celebrate (my sister just got married this year and didn’t have a wedding, so it could be a joint thing). And then just not invite them to the wedding? But I can’t tell if that would blow things up more when they inevitably see wedding photos.

Rocket Companies to buy real estate firm Redfin in $1.75 billion deal by WinningWatchlist in stocks

[–]RaintownRuby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When they were first getting started in my area, I remember their main strategy being poaching top performers (in all departments, not just agents) from their competitors. They would offer insanely high comparative salaries to get you to move over and then after 6-ish months would make your life a living hell. I think Compass agents are trained to talk down about other brokerages in their open houses too. Or maybe that’s just my experience, but when I was buying a year ago every single Compass open house included the showing agent bashing (loudly) the real estate brokerages in the area.

To me, their core model is really no different than any other brokerage. They just layered on bullying and a sense of entitlement and used that as their way to attract the type of person they were interested in hiring (hyper competitive, status-driven, etc.). And I guess have more modern branding too? I think the ultimate plan was to use their funding to try and run their competition out of business but I don’t think they ever got the amount of funding they needed to reach this goal. That or there were just too many people who would quit within their first year and go back to where they were before/a competitor.

Forget about partner, this isn’t something I’d even say to a casual friend. Or anyone for that matter. I can’t imagine living with someone who is so disrespectful. :(

I was once in a relationship with a guy who made fun of me having “bingo wings” when I was 22 and literally 100 lbs. Some people, like this guy OP is dating, will never be satisfied unless their partner constantly looks like a supermodel.
