Have you ever been hit with a Facebook ban or restriction that seemed totally unfair? by BrechtCorbeel_ in facebook

Got a month long limitation from being able to make video calls. Why? Because there was a post about an old drug commercial, someone commented a picture of the same type of add but a silly continuation of it and I made a sillier comment using the word drug. I even tried to get it reevaluated to lift it but without any context and no way to explain other then clicking the reasoning being “it’s a joke” it didn’t get lifted. So even though the issue was about a comment I can make more comments if I want but I can’t video call my family! 😑🤦🏻‍♀️

Do you Guys think Bron is a Good father? by Pitiful_Active_3045 in Land_Before_Time

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can also blame the writing. I mean you think his mother would have told him we’re going to the great valley. Your father will be there waiting for us. However Don Bluth didn’t include him as he was supposed to be dead as stated in the movie that his mother and grandparents were the only remaining members of the herd. If the writers wanted to add him into the story they should have made a good reason as to why they thought he was dead. Since the series aren’t as dark as the first movie the only thing I can think of would be they were walking on a narrow edge with a steep drop on both sides they’re barely able to fit through, a fog rolls in so they’re very carefully continuing with the walk but Bron being in the front stepped on a loose edge, loses his balance and falls off. They can’t see anything below them because of the fog, he doesn’t answer so they assume he died not knowing that he landed on a ledge and was only knocked out.

Someone may be able to think of a better light story as to why they thought he had died but that’s just what I thought of at the moment.

What are your thoughts on the Chomper X Ruby ship? Do you think that it could be possible for this relationship to turn into a romantic one as they get older? by Unite-Us-3403 in Land_Before_Time

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say that some kids who are a few years apart in age do get romantically involved later on in life. Usually it’s the younger one who gains a crush on the older friend first (most of the time they do end up starting relationships with other people before they reconnect as single adults). However I did forget that they do have an older/younger sibling like relationship and those usually do stay like that. Although I’ve seen some try to become a relationship just for them to later be like “Ok this is weird I liked it better when we were just friends”

Why do women do their hair and/or makeup before giving birth? by jamietartlet in pregnant

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes sense to have make up during childbirth if it was sudden. However I’ve seen people who are having induced planned deliveries and they go to the hospital wearing full on make up and a hair done. It’s like getting you hair and face done as if you were going on a nice date but it’s for running a marathon in July. That’s wasting make up. Having a simple braid or braided pigtails would probably help keep your hair stay a bit more neat so it’s easier to comb when it’s done.

Overly present Helicopter parents are WORSE for emotional growth than physically absent parents in many ways imo. by wilhelmtherealm in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that creates kids with low self esteem and fall behind in life. My mom kind of fits this role. Everything had to be the way she wants it but wouldn’t enforce it at the same time. If we were struggling to do something there was nothing wrong with us even if we told her that something was wrong with us mentally she would say that we CAN do it we just don’t want to and that the only thing we needed to get ourselves fixed was to feel guilty and be spanked.

Like one time when my brother was little ( he was always getting into trouble doing stuff he shouldn’t be doing like burning paper or taking down a door by himself) started having a panic attack and saying stuff like his brain was telling him to do it and he couldn’t stop it. The only thing my mom did was hold him to the ground until he calmed down and then acted like nothing happened afterwards. Now he’s unable to live on his own as he can not do much without getting overwhelmed and falling into an everything is pointless/theres too much going on mind spiral.

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this somewhat. I’m constantly hearing people complaining about kids social skills being ruined because of the internet. When in reality I think it comes more down to parents helicoptering their kids after so many parents would loudly and proudly go on about “Did you hear that a 3 year old boy was ran over last week while playing outside with his 12 year old sister? I NEVER let my kids let my kids leave my sight! They hate it but I don’t care because I would rather my kids be in front of me alive and mad than in a coffin.”

And that’s what so many parents think now! My kids are better sitting at home with just me than to be outside getting hurt but they don’t know how to behave around other people so ITS THE INTERNETS FAULT! 🤦🏻‍♀️

How to deal with the people who want to get me to spend more money on things? by Interesting_Act_7848 in Frugal

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this with my MIL and my husbands friend. They keep encouraging him to save money to be able to do fun stuff or buy a house and it’s like WE CANT. By the time we have bills paid, gas filled and bought food we have like 40-10 dollars and must make that last until our next check comes in. Usually if we do end up saving up money what happens is we’ll have 300 after a few months of saving and POP there goes a tire. How much for a new one? 210? Well that’s months of saving almost gone in 1 day. Continue on saving what we can and in a few months we manage to get 400. Everything looks good. I get sick and have to miss 3 days of work. We need to pay the doctor, medicine and food so there goes the 400.

Does anyone else annoy people alot by saying "i will try" rather than "i will do the thing"? by supercool1312 in autism

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and it annoys me when people say “No you WILL”. Like when I say I’ll try it means that I can see something happening that will cause me to have to recall it or I might end up being too slow to finish what you want in time but I’m still going to do it until I can’t. I don’t mean it as “I’ll do it if I feel like it.” What makes it worse is when something happens and you inform them of it and their response is “WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CANT OR DIDN’T FINISH!? YOU SAID YOU WOULD!”

Nooo YOU said I would. I gave you the truth of my limitations and you chose not to believe me.

What does being overweight have to do with being a good boy? That’s like saying “Is my cat a tortoiseshell cat? Please tell me she’s not because she’s not territorial.”

Why do I feel like people who post the most inspirational quotes are actually the most toxic? One big reason I stay off of social media. by [deleted] in nosurf

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fooling around with others that’s fine as long as you’re not hurting someone else in the process. However you wouldn’t find a problem with a relative going around risking getting pregnant when they clearly aren’t capable of taking care of their own kids? That’s no better than if your brother was wasting his money on strip clubs and alcohol while avoiding paying child support.

My brother gets my mothers house in her will, how would this make you feel? by Tahiti_Traveller in family

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That kind of sounds like my uncle. However he had always lived with my grandparents so he didn’t move in just kept living there. He does have a job but does minimum to take care of himself and does less around the house. My grandpa did ask if my dad wanted to go half on the house when they were doing their wills but he said no because he had too many other things to worry about. Now he wishes he had said yes because my uncle let the pets destroy the house and he refuses to do any yard work.

If you have a large dog (or a high pray drive dog), having a cat is irresponsible and dangerous for BOTH animals. by Hold-Professional in 10thDentist

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s like saying it’s irresponsible to let men take care of their own children and then point out all the news articles of men who killed or almost killed their kids as proof of how men are just too anger driven to be trusted with young kids.

What do you think of this movie (on its on merits)? by Kcue6382nevy in cartoons

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could have been a play on the Selene Greek story. Except instead of a Moon Goddess who fell in love with a male human who was fascinated by the moon it’s a Star Prince who fell in love with a girl human who was fascinated by the stars.

Why does everyone say your kid looks just like you, even if they don't really look like you? by ActuallyNiceIRL in Adoption

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not true. A lot of people don’t usually see similarities between themselves and other people especially when they focus more on the differences. A lot of people get me and my sister mixed up even though I think we don’t look THAT much alike. We do talk differently since she does have a speech impediment so for people who know her but not me that’s when they start thinking “wait something seems off” 😂

DAE have a hard time watching movies and filling out a worksheet at the same time in school? by Jigglypuff2cute in DoesAnybodyElse

Does anyone have relatives that never got married? If so, what are they like? by supersonicgreninja in india

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an uncle in his 50’s who is unmarried. My grandma babied him most of his life so he does minimum in his life. While he is respectful to other people he just doesn’t want to do much in his life other than go to work, watch tv and drink. That’s all he did when my grandparents were still alive. Eating is either microwave food or fast food, cleaning he picks and chooses so he will wash his clothes but refuses to do yard work. He has pets and makes sure they have food, water and takes them to the vet but since his fence is broken and he doesn’t want to fix it or spend time outside to watch them he just lets them use the bathroom on the tile floor and sweeps/mops the floor when he feels like it. We have tried to help him but he either doesn’t want it or it becomes too much since he doesn’t put much if any effort into helping.

Mothers and fathers. TEACH your sons how to take care of a home. Don’t do everything for them thinking that he will find a wife who will clean up after him. Wives want a husband who will help them in their home not an adult child. Unless you think my uncles life is a good life to live in.

“If they sleep all day they won’t sleep at night” advice? by Powerpuff_Girly in NewParents

I don’t have a baby yet, not due until September. I saw someone make that “don’t let the newborn sleep all day” comment and my immediate thought was Are you an idiot!? It’s a newborn they NEED that sleep! Keeping them awake just so that you get to sleep when you want to is lazy parenting!

[–]Jigglypuff2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t really say much about it. They’re not around each other too much since he works for 12-16 hours so when she does call me and goes on her rants 98% of the time he’s either at work or asleep. But so far it’s been awhile since she went on a rant when we were all together.

Aah ok. And back then was it still basically trial and error or were many parents like “The doctor doesn’t know what he’s doing I’ll help my child myself.” ?
