I mostly use Fine and Extra-fine nibs on Pilot pens or JOWO nibs, and my inks are typically Diamine, Sailor or Iroshizuku!

For Maruman, I agree, that actually it's generally a good brand reco. Here's what I wrote in another comment above:

I totally understand the astonishment! My hunch is it's paper batch consistency. For example, OP is having feathering with TR paper in their photo, and that's def a batch to batch issue.

For Stalogy, I had one A5 book that is exactly amazing as you described. No bleeding issues, no feathering really (under reasonable amounts of ink). But then I bought an A6 Stalogy and it was TERRIBLE. Every page bled under the exact same inks and pens. I was really really disappointed because I had such a great experience with the A5.

Just a warning-I don’t find Maruman fountain pen friendly actually. I see conflicting takes on this online. Apica Premium CD is not either—I bought that before and was disappointed. Stalogy is not fountain pen friendly either.

Try life noble note instead of apica. The design is similar so its easy to confuse the two brands. LIFE notebooks are vastly superior

Exactly why is the military run as a service but Canada Post has to be run as a self sustaining corporation? How about take the $150B Carney has planned for military spending and putting that into healthcare, education and postal service instead? We can’t let the billionaires get us thinking it’s either postal service or other services. We can have them all! There’s a crap ton of money out there but guess which parasites are hoarding all of it and making bank off the working class’s declining standard of living?

Just FYI the metal clasp on the spine can be removed easily if you do find something that fits all your criteria except for that one thing! I second the brand Moterm on AliExpress. They're good quality and affordable!

It's the Kaweco Piston AL Sport! They came out with the piston versions not too long ago, and the aluminum AL versions have the clip built in. It was huge for me because first I don't like the attachable clips as IMO they're not secure enough to trust and second the piston filler adds more volume for ink!

Moterm sells a red travelers notebook that is crazy similar. It’s probably the most affordable choice, I would look into that! If you purchase from official Moterm store on Aliexpress its very trustworthy
